The food is Delicious always fresh and hot quality ingredients used and portions are a good size. The owners and their family are nice people and really friendly, they go above and beyond for us each time we order, i have allergies and they always adapt the dishes to suit me which is lovely. We don’t live in the area and have to drive from Holmfirth to get a takeaway but it’s worth it as much better than the Chinese takeaways around where we live.
Really good Chinese! Excellent food, plenty to choose from on the menu. Ordered from here a few times and it never disappoints. The sweet & sour is tasty! Definitely recommend here!
I wish I could rate higher than 5*!! The service was outstanding! They called us twice to keep us updated on our order. Once to say the estimated wait time will be halved what they originally said and the second to make us aware the driver had left the takeaway. All the food was piping hot and tasted outstanding!! By far the best Chinese around and in fact the best Chinese we’ve ever eaten!! Honestly do not order from anywhere else!
Ordered last night for Mother’s Day. Took two hours which we would say it’s fair considering the day. The prawns smelled funny and the and the other dishes ended up in the bin. We have ordered loads from them in the past but was disappointed this time. Previous it’s been perfect.
This place is hit and miss… For one they are mostly better than other Chinese restaurants in the area but also very expensive but that seems to be the case with all of them. Their delivery service is unreliable can ask you to wait for over one hour then say its not coming at all. Clearly cutting down, possibly not paying decent enough to keep drivers. Restaurants reception is freezing cold. Also hate the child taking orders as she always makes mistakes.
Lovely family run takeaway with incredible foods and standards. Great service, will definitely return!
The 2 stars are for the price. Extremely expensive for a takeaway. Nice food , but the one I usually go to is just as nice and at least £20 cheaper for exactly the same order. Which is a massive difference. I only went to Nam Shan because the others were on holiday and I used to go to Nam Shan when they were in Honley many years ago. They didn’t shred the duck for the duck pancakes and the sweet and sour chicken balls were not chicken balls at all, but tiny pieces of very chewy chicken, mainly batter mixed in with vegetables and sauce. We prefer chicken balls to come seoeratepy to the sweet and sour sauce.
