A gem of a place, an OG of Italian cuisine in London where the dishes are defiantly and beautifully old school, in the best possible ways. Fabulous pastas, perfect primi, sinful deserts and awesome wines and cocktails. I love it!

Booked this restaurant for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday dinner. Genuinely had the best experience! The food, service and atmosphere were incredible. The Cacio e Pepe was the best we’ve ever had. We will definitely be going back!

The vibe was festive and only added to an awesome evening! Friendly hostess, and incredible server Sophie! Oh yes and the food! Sooo good! Overall a wonderful experience here at Sale e Pepe and a place we’ll make sure to return to. (Good luck to you in your future Sophie! You are sure to shine!)

If you're craving authentic Italian cuisine, Sale E Pepe is a must-visit in London. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a cozy meal. We started with the creamy burrata, which was delightfully fresh and paired beautifully with ripe tomatoes. For our mains, we tried two pasta dishes—a rich Bucatini Cacio E Pepe and a flavorful seafood spaghetti—and both were fantastic, showcasing the authentic taste of Italy. We also ordered the chicken Milanese, and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The service was friendly and the lemon cello shots they serve at the end of meal is just a great way to refresh. Overall, Sale E Pepe offers an unforgettable dining experience that I can't recommend enough!

This place was crowded, Italian and had great pasta. It felt like a niche place that you expect from an Italian restaurant with a lot of noise and close movement. Pasta was incredible and the desserts were delicious. Meat was also very good but the pasta was way better. Appetizers were great. We had everything with truffle (that super increased the price) but was something special. Not sure we would do it again with the truffle as it made the final payment way overpriced for the restaurant. A lot of confusion as some of the wait staff didn’t speak English and we weren’t always sure who are server was. Still loved the pasta and was well worth it.

I’d rate this a 4.5/5! Great service, solid quality and a varied menu (but not too big)! I really enjoyed the pasta here, in particular, the carbonara. It was busy when we went but we made a reservation so getting seated wasn’t an issue. It’s quaint and very cozy, almost as if you’re sharing tables. I would recommend and would come back.

Great place for lunch. The manager is super, very polite. There is outdoor seating in the summer which is perfect for lunch or dinner. I’d recommend the Burrata Caprise, very fresh and filling. At lunchtime we were able to walk in without booking, but I’d recommend to book on the weekends.

Came round for a late lunch on Saturday! Staff was super friendly and we had the most amazing mussels cooked in white sauce!! Tiramisu was ON POINT - must order. They even served bread with their own olive oil which is always a plus. Would definitely come back. Be prepared to cover your ears if you decided to sit outdoor as a lot of luxury cars would fly by!

Mixed feelings about this place. Are we still doing cover charges in 2021? It’s always disappointing when a restaurant advertises a great looking set menu on their website but when you arrive it’s not available… Service was nice. At some points we felt a little rushed. The restaurant itself feels like a traditional Italian that you’d find on Capri. It was quaint but if full you’d practically be eating on top of other customers. The chef definitely likes salt - the bread we were served wasn’t good. Stodgy and very salty. The carpaccio was nice; a sold portion with ample parmesan but again a lot of salt. The mushroom risotto was delicious and cooked to perfection. Skipped out on dessert but they looked decent.
