    Food was great as always. However, the evening was mega spoilt when we got the bill. It was GBP 126 and included a 12.5% service charge. We were then however presented with the card machine to pay GBP 139.56. The restaurant was trying to charge us double the service charge. Not a mistake but an intentional try to get more money from a happy couple who was slightly tipsy after a bottle of wine and probably looked like they would not notice. Not a nice experience, no apology, nothing. Pity really, cause this restaurant won’t see us again for a long time.

    We’ve been coming here for years - my husband’s favourite local Italian, especially when he’s on his own - without fail he will pay Mario a visit for his usual Veal Milanese, or one of the delicious pastas. This time we had Penne with Chicken & Broccoli, and Spaghetti with Mushrooms & Ham - cooked to perfection & so tasty. The serves are always so generous. This is a cosy & comfortably place that offers great quality food.

    We have now watched 5 other tables come in after us, get fed and ready to leave while we are still waiting for our food. Been well over 1 hour since we ordered. If you don’t want to be fed, eat hear. If you do, please go elsewhere. Can’t comment on the food as it appears we cannot get fed.

    Lovely, traditional Italian restaurant. Beautiful pasta dishes and they can do classics that aren't on the menu if you ask like carbonara. Service was really good and quick, the restaurant background music was quiet so you can actually have a conversation and house wine was excellent.

    The food is beautiful! Well presented, and tastes amazing❤ the owner is lovely and so helpful. Never sat without a drink, makes sure everything's okay and has a lovely demeanour. Price isn't bad at all. It is small inside but defiantly one of our favour Italians around. Thank you for a lovely meal Mario!!!
