   Great service for a takeaway order. We asks questions about gluten free menu and all were met with clear and thorough responses so we felt extremely comfortable ordering for someone with a severe wheat allergy. Really lovely food. Will definitely visit again.

   Honestly i can not fault this place! The food served up here is formidable! We had a takeaway and we couldn't believe the standard for a delivered meal. So we went to the restaurant and had to visit again the week after our first visit, as we couldn't wait to experience the delights again. We have taken friends with us since and they were just as impressed. Generous portions and a great drinks list. Couldn't recommend enough. Get involved !⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

   We’ve dined here several times now on our recent trips to Southport and we just love it. It’s a very small, intimate restaurant and the menu isn’t huge, but everything is always spot on and delicious. We always have our youngest daughter with us and the staff are just brilliant with her, catering to her any way they can; whether this be letting her order off menu, or making her her very own mocktail. I’d really recommend the Birria beef tacos and if you happen to visit on a themed night (we went for their Halloween one last year) definitively do the set menu; the amount of food you get for the money is amazing.

   Let me preface this review by saying Tik Taco is the best Mexican restaurant I’ve been to, in the UK, outside of London. And head and shoulders above the one or two others in Southport. Every detail of the place looks as though a lot of thought went into it — from the decor to the menu. Started off with a margarita which unfortunately was overly-sweet and only faintly tasted of tequila. I think the recipe was just a little off and a few big dashes of fresh lime juice would brighten it up. I tend to like bold tasting Margaritas but that may just be the Californian in me. The guacamole was good although a little smooth and one-note for my taste. It could be improved immensely if they used a recipe like the classic Rosa Mexicana one which is easy and its base can be made ahead of time and added to the avocados for each order. It’s absolutely delicious. The pork belly and charred pineapple was fantastic and the boldest flavor of any of the dishes. Also delicious was the brisket taquitos (although I’d used corn tortillas and I don’t think the consommé works very well). The Mexican fried chicken was beautifully made and things like the shredded cabbage and thinly-sliced radish were simple but spot-on touches. All in all, an exceptional restaurant and the only place anyone in Merseyside should go for thoughtful, delicious Mexican food. Also, there was only one waiter on tonight and it was extremely impressive how calm and collected he remained without any help on the floor. As a side note, the music (a mix of late 60s to early 70s) was nice but didn’t create much of an atmosphere. I might lower the lights a little and change-up the playlist.

   Had a delivery at the end of september and it was fantastic. Had the pollo naked bowl which was amazing and had so many different flavours. Also came with these potato cubes that are pictured that I didn't order, however, they were superb. I would definitely order again and would like to dine in the restaurant some time as along with my delivery came a discount voucher for eating in.

   This was a lovely hidden gem find, I was staying across the road at a local hotel and I was looking for somewhere different, but with a bit of class. The food was absolutely amazing, steak cooked to perfection, looked exactly how it was suppose to and the lovely gentleman who served me made it the experience one better, his customer service was amazing nothing was to much trouble and went above and beyond to make my evening that much nicer. It was nice to chat with him about the place and his passion for music. I would highly recommend this place ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ star their wasn't anything at all that didn't meet my expectation, a lovely restaurant with a relaxed clean cool vibe. Thankyou to the chefs on a top quality meal.
