   The food is fabulous. If you want to enjoy a drink with dinner they have no problems with this. We had the meat platter for two. The meat was delicious. A complimentary bowl of lentil soup Syrian style was a lovely touch. I would recommend and will definitely visit again the next time I’m in York. Give it a try.

   It's a nicely themed restaurant with friendly staff that made us feel welcome and relaxed. Personally, I would have preferred Sirian music to compliment the interior and food, rather than the Christmas music (2nd December). The bread and starters were excellent, some of the best I've had in quite a while. We also enjoyed the complimentary lentil soup, which was nice touch of hospitality. The main course was a little underwhelming, with the falafel roll lacking something to make it special or distinct. The chicken skewer (not pictured) was, I'm told, excellent. We'll happily return at some point to try it again.

   Enjoyed a quick lunch here before setting off from York. We had the shawarma wrap and plate which were delicious, especially with the garlic and chilli sauces. To start we had the hummus and moussaka which had incredible flavours. The staff were very friendly and helpful, would definitely visit again.

   I was really hungry and decided to order the Arabic shawarma and lentil soup, both were absolutely delicious! The flavors were spot-on, and everything tasted fresh and satisfying. This isn’t my first time ordering from them, and once again, they didn’t disappoint. ❤️

   First of all, the Arabian hospitality in this place is well shown. I just had dinner here, and everything I ordered was delicious. The shawarma fetta was authentically delicious! The lamb kebbah as well! However, the yalangi needed to be cooked longer so that the rice in the stuffing would be fully cooked. Overall, I would definitely recommend it to everyone!

   Fantastic meal tonight. The food was great, really flavoursome and authentic. The staff were fantastic. Treated me and the wife and child really well for my wife’s birthday. Can’t recommend it enough. It’s take your own alcohol too so the bill stays low. Great place great food.

   Truly amazing little Syrian Restaurant with a great atmosphere and genuinely warm and kind service. Everything on the menu is Halal. The minced lamb main dish was so soft, delicious, melt in the mouth and fragrant. The Kunafa desert was gorgeous with Arabic Tea and it was all incredibly good value for money too! This Restaurant is a real diamond in the heart of York City.

   The food is as authentic as it gets in this area, for Syrian or for that matter Middle Eastern food in general. Good quality as well: when eating in, or for takeaway (packaging, etc.). Found it a little bit on the pricey end but it's worth it. They did accept card and the waiter was attentive, so based on some of the negative reviews here perhaps they did have a consistency issue, but our experience was positive in all instances.

   We went for a family meal and the service was great from the moment we walked in, they made you feel relaxed and welcome. The soup came really quick and had a lovely taste of cumin. I like keebha and the one we had was delicious and full of flavour with the spices. We also had the houmous, bread, feast for two and kasba chicken with rice which was also full of flavour. We finished with the tea and basbousa and this did not disapoint. Deffinately go here if you want to try some traditional syrian food in a relaxed comfortable restaurant.

   We came here looking for something different to eat and we’re very impressed with the quality of food! All were freshly cooked and flavoursome. The menu had such an array of choice that we could have ordered everything! But there were only 2 of us! All the more reason to come back again and try the dishes! The waiter was welcoming and once taken our order, he came with complimentary lentil soup which was delicious! The food came quickly and we couldn’t wait to tuck in! The mint tea was refreshing and washed down our food nicely!! The decor was authentic and felt I was transported on holiday!
