   Monday lunchtime had a nice quiet atmosphere even during school holidays, the food didn't take very long and the staff were polite and helpful. As for the food it was pretty great for a café, I expected standard sandwiches and coffees but they had a halloumi burger on offer as well as some italian inspired flatbread/focaccia options. Enjoyed it :-)

   Sadly incompetent and infuriating experience. Went for a quick lunch which turned into an absolute fiasco. Picked 3 kids pick n mix sandwich deals. Took them to the till. Waited quite a while then was told there were no kids sandwiches left (it was not near closing time). Asked for a full refund as staff tried to do an unnecessarily complicated workaround on the till after I then changed my order to two kids hot meals three kids drinks (my children never finish a hot meal to themselves so they share). Took staff absolutely ages to sort out in which time a queue of irritated people had formed. Later I tried to order a breakfast and asked for the hash browns and toast to be swapped out for something else as I have specific dietary needs and can't eat carbohydrates and their menu is very carb heavy. I was told no they can't swap out items but they can just leave them out. Which means I'd be paying full price for quite a bit less food. The staff were very 'computer says no'. After the drama they'd caused earlier you'd think they'd be a bit more keen to reestablish a level of customer service but no. Anywhere else I've ordered have been completely happy to swap out items and replace them with more of what was already on the plate. I ended up just ordering a bottle of water (lol) and getting some food I could actually eat from the main supermarket. Pathetic 'service'. Retraining needed. More options for dietary requirements desperately needed across all tesco cafes. Absolutely nothing on the menu is carbohydrate free and if they're going to be obstinate about swapping out carbs for more protein or egg there's no point dining there.

   I went to tesco cafe walkden I got a breakfast I got 1 egg 1 peace of bacon few beans I asked for chips has well and barm with no butter they put butter on my barm you don't get what you pay for I did not enjoy my breakfast today at tesco

   I will definitely be coming here again I loved how kind and caring Lesley is she made us feel welcome and asked us if we needed anything else and not just once either and she was really friendly she is a pleasure to have working for you and it is always dead nice to have someone as bubbly as her when you come to eat whilst shopping this is the best experience I've had at a tesco cafe simply because of Lesley with everything that is going on at the moment she made us all feel at ease and couldn't have asked for better customer service really appreciated the comfort we felt and all I can say is thankyou.

   Nice little cafe with excellent baby facilities such as bottle warming, microwave and lovely baby change. Lift goes straight to the cafe and plenty of room for a pram.
