    My first visit as I was going football was impressed with friendlyness of the people in pub see as I never been here before, brilliant sporty pub with football on tv the beer was good.

    The manager needs to take their bar staff in hand and teach them that all customers would like to be served as they only seem capable of serving young lads and ignore any other customers who do not fill this criteria. They lost at least 7 customers last night Friday 5/10 by looking straight at us and then walking away to serve their friends first. We spoke to other people who had the same happen to them. Please tell them to respect each and every customer that walks through your door.

    The evening was going ok until the barmaid (for want of a better word) made accusations that my friend was under the influence of drugs, which he most certainly was not, she then refused to serve us so we promptly left feeling a little embarrassed about the fiasco. On a positive note we found another pub which was warm and welcoming and were made aware to avoid the red lion at weekends as it is a hotspot for narcotics and all that comes with it. I can safely say I will not spend another penny of my hard earned money on there rather inflated beer prices and I will and have shared my poor experience with others.

    A pub that has been modernized in recent years and is trying it's best to be a professional outlet for social drinking and eating. As with most pubs, bars and restaurants service lacks at times. ( staff on phone while I was waiting to be served at the bar) although she was apologetic for being so. Food and drinks of a decent standard and price and in surroundings of a pleasant standard unless you don't like TV sport surrounding you. As this is a small village pub you do get regular local drinkers at the bar who have less than a sense of decent language at times. For this pub to attract a more regular quality cash customer the management may want to think about having a word with their regular bar dwelling regulars to have a little consideration for the visiting public and give management and owners a chance of this pub with food a chance of making money and staying open, which so many don't these days!

    Cosy local pub. Good choice of beers, wine, and soft drinks. Now serving food and snaks. Friendly staff. There's a covered smoking area at the rear. Free pool, and special offers on food every day. There is a seating area at the front for those sunny days. Recently been re -furbrished. A nice friendly atmosphere.
