These pubs just tend to attract blokes who are "unsafe", "obnoxious", and "harassing". Good to know it's temporarily closed. One day when I was in this pub, I had repulsive innuendos thrown at me by someone who was clearly a predator. It made me think I could actually get attacked (as you never know...alcohol is dangerous). Pubs are getting worse. The bully/harasser picks their moment to pressure females and it's when the management disappear. Places like this aren't worth the stress if you are a lady. I avoid pubs at all costs now. The roaches lock down the street felt just as frightening when I went in there as a one off... discreet innuendos thrown at me there too. It just makes some females very fearful and it damages people's mental health.

Three of us went up here to meet a friend who lives locally. It's an attractive, friendly pub that we were pleased to see had a couple of decent cask ales available. We would have been happy to spend the evening there but were unfortunately driven out by the ridiculously loud karaoke that prevented any conversation. Such a shame.

The landlady is a very bubbly energetic person. She is very loud (in a nice way) she doesn't take any grief off anyone. Her staff are also friendly and the food is lovely, defo recommend the food

Our new favourite pub. We're not big drinkers and don't normally go to pubs on a regular basis but would go on occasion on baby free nights. We saw an ad for this place by chance on facebook for the quiz on sundays hosted by Elliott. It's a great electronic quiz and you get supper from Sunday's leftovers included in the price of the quiz which is £1. It's on Sundays from 7.30pm and usually finished by 9.30. The past few weeks we've have the leftover Ham from the roast dinner on sandwiches and Chilli con Carne with Rice. Drinks are also reasonably priced and the main menu food is delicious too, but make aure to order before the kitchen closes at 6.45 if you need to eat before the quiz starts.

Great local pub with outside seating, very friendly and welcoming vibe. They've got Lemon, Orange and Peach flavoured Gordon's Gin, which I love!❤️

Good value for money food, a decent selection of real ales if that is what you like (a taster offered to my partner so it was easier to choose). Always a friendly welcome from the landlady and bar staff alike. Great quiz on a Sunday night with free sandwiches and beer tokens as prizes. Ps the aforementioned "landlord " is no longer there.
