   Don't know about the food as I didn't have any I'm a singer and played at this venue. The staff and the landlady were great with me and the customers were also great. Lovely atmosphere, a really nice place

   Met some friends for a few beers before going to a restaurant for a meal and went back to Angel after and they had Kareoke on, it was very busy and the atmosphere was very good, nice to see a pub doing well.

   Fantastic pub . So welcoming to me my family and children. Great for food in the day time. I have always been aware that there is a rule for no children after 7pm rightly so as it gets a very lively atmosphere.

   Shocking customer service. Apparently there are no dogs or babies allowed in after 20.30 however, staff will serve you and give your dog a water bowl before telling you this (arrived 20.06). We were told you can have your drinks then leave. 1/4 way through our drinks we were told we had to leave despite them serving us again for some crisps, staff were rude and told us we were taking up too much room (there was one other person in the bar area, 4 adults and 2 dogs), refused a refund and said we can have plastic cups to drink our drinks on the street. we've been to Angel a lot and I'm appalled by the way staff spoke to us and the money grabbing behaviour. Edit: after writing this review the Angel have responded on their Facebook page trying to shame me for breastfeeding my baby. Absolutely disgusting.

   If I could give 0 stars I honestly would. We were served at the bar upon arrival with no issue, seeing we have 2 dogs and a new born with us. We asked if dogs were allowed and they said yes, we then after paying for drinks were told the baby with us wasn’t allowed in after half 8. We were told we could stay to finish the drinks then leave, we were half way through our drinks when a staff member told us we had to leave and put the remainder of our drinks in plastic cups. We were told we were taking up too much room in an empty bar but allowed us pay? It was 8.35, pub empty Apart from staff 2 couples and the band setting up. Should of told us upon arrival we couldn’t sit in and drink. Extremely poor understanding of the bars rules from staff, made us feel so unwelcome. We’re a family of 4, with a dog and a baby. Disgusting

   Two separate rooms here with bar in the middle. Prices very reasonable, had special offer gin cocktails on as well. Beer garden and smoking area out back. Nice locals pub. Had football on and karaoke night when we went. Very friendly people in, happy to chat.
