Had a drink here on our canal walk. Very friendly staff and reasonably priced drinks. A minutes walk from the canal over the railway crossing.
Stopped here for NYE and were welcomed by all the locals (who all clearly knew each other!) with open arms - they even offered us chilli that had been lovingly prepared in a slow cooker on the side. Such a wonderful vibe and felt so privileged to be so welcomed in. 5* NYE :)
Great little pub with lovely friendly people and good atmosphere.
Nice traditional pub with wood and coal burning in the stove, and a couple of ales to choose from. New manager it seems with relevant trade background with enthusiasm to provide a decent drink (and food?) venue.

Warm and friendly atmosphere in the heart of the community. Located as near as it possibly cold be to local bus and train, and a stones throw from the canal towpath. First time I’ve been in tonight in all the time I’ve lived here and intend to return as soon as possible. Great local pub.
Great Sunday roast, lovely, friendly atmosphere. Good beer selection and karaoke on Fridays, what more can you ask for?
