   Massive shout out to Alex in the kitchen. Ordered 2 mixed grills this evening and they were absolutely spot on. Steak cooked exactly how we wanted, chicken nice and juicy, and everything else as you’d expect. We’ve had worse steaks from actual steakhouses! Food was out fairly quickly however standard was not compromised in the slightest

   We’ve been coming in regularly over the past few weeks. We’ve really enjoyed the new pub quiz format on Wednesdays and I also had a great steak and ale pie with creamy mash and veg. Staff are lovely and very friendly. Would recommend trying it out!

   We’re absolutely appalled by the experience we had today for what was meant to be a special, pre-booked birthday meal for my husband and our 19th wedding anniversary,Despite booking in advance, (2 weeks)the service and food were completely unacceptable. There were no burger buns, so we were given muffins instead — which is ridiculous and inexcusable for any restaurant. The steak was served practically raw, and to top it off, the pie that was specifically requested wasn’t even available. This ruined what should have been an enjoyable celebration. The lack of preparation and basic standards is shocking. We won’t be returning, and I’ll be making others aware of how poor this experience was.

   We enjoyed a Sunday roast here yesterday. The three meats meal was delicious, and flavoursome and delivered by the friendly staff. We also appreciated the children’s meal being brought out before ours so we could feed baby first. Always a fun and enjoyable atmosphere.

   Booked the function room at Fairfield arms and was left very dissatisfied with the amount of food provided for the buffet. £500 spent for 50 people but there was barely enough for 30. 2 small bowls of salad, 2 small bowls of nachos, only 1 plate of chips and a couple of trays of sandwiches and wraps. Extremely underwhelmed and left embarrassed not being able to feed all guests. Pictures taken after the fact as I couldn't get in fast enough.

   I have previously visited Fairfield Arms in the past, I went again recently and took pictures of the front. The amazing work done to the amazing building is awesome. Dazzling and flickering Christmas lights, makes it looks like more of a 5 star hotel than a lovely pub. Always looking amazing with these views. Staff were so friendly when serving us.    Decided to go Fairfield arms today as haven't been there for a long time. What can i say, wasn't impressed whatsoever, ordered a starter of home fried nachos for my girlfriend and Parsley breaded mushrooms for myself after 40 minutes they finally arrived nachos cold and breaded mushrooms were nothing to die for. I mentioned to 1 of the staff the nachos were cold his response "ok". We decided we wanted a refund and the main to be cancelled, the manager said its not his fault all the tickets came through at once to the kitchen and didn't apologise. Disappointed but hey not everywhere is perfect. Would i recommend truthfully no!

   I liked Fairfield Arms already from outside, when we drove around and loved it so much that I had to come closer and also go inside. I enjoyed my visit, nice Xmas decoration, atmosphere, dinner and drinks that I had to come also next day for a lunch during my stay in Manchester. The food was amazing, tasty and very good looking on both days. The staff was very friendly, helpful and make me feel very comfortable and welcome. Thank you so much and I will be back soon. :))
