About time I wrote a review about this great place as I've been visiting since 2020. We are based in Stockport and Little Mill Inn is a place we visit when we want to escape town life. Get out into the countryside, have a lovely walk and finish it off at a marvellous pub that consistently delivers great food and service. We also have two young kids and the play area and animals (geese, goats, rabbits, koi carp) always keep them so entertained. Looking forward to our next visit.

Visited today as a table of two and had a truly lovely experience from start to finish. We needed to push our reservation back by an hour, and the team were so polite and accommodating on the phone. When we arrived, we were seated straight away. The staff were absolutely wonderful β friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was outstanding; some of the best weβve eaten. Beautiful flavours, fresh, home-cooked dishes with great attention to detail, and excellent value for money. As a fellow hospitality business owner, I know how challenging the festive period can be, so full credit to the team for delivering such a high standard of service and food β truly top-notch. The pub itself is cosy, homely, and full of charm, and the grounds and scenery are simply stunning. A beautiful experience overall. We canβt wait to return and will definitely be becoming regulars!

Really good couple of days. Shepherds hut was lovely, nothing crazy but everything we needed. The pub was lovely, really good service, really good food and a lovely selection of drinks available. The roast is lovely and a proper portion too! There isn't loads about (literally the pub and some houses) but there is plenty of walks to go on from the pub, which was perfect for us. We managed to tick of 3 walks from the leaflet provided which also had near perfect instructions for all the walks. 100% recommend for a lovely couple of nights away.

Lovely location near to the Blue John Cavern β¦ perfect location halfway between Glasgow and London on our return to London. All the staff were very polite and welcoming. Food was lovely β¦ huge portions and good quality. Lovely cheese and onion and minced beef pies for our evening meal. Breakfast was also good quality and lovely and hot. The only downsides were that the shower in Apartment 1 needed to be a little more powerful and the seats in the living area were very wobbly. Lovely roaring fire in the pub!

Absolutely beautiful place! We stayed in the deluxe family room with our 4 month old which was really big with two bedrooms open to each other joined by steps with a king bed and double bed. You can reach the bedroom via the path outside which is good for a pram, or via the stairs through the pub. The owner and all staff are extremely friendly and chatty. We stayed for one night and had breakfast which was a lovely cooked breakfast with a good choice, and they also had cereal and yoghurt options with fresh juices, The bar is welcoming and had a good selection of drinks, also had their lovely little dogs walking round too. Itβs very popular and busy, we stayed in October so I can imagine itβs very popular in the summer. The kids playground was good too with the animals in it and two lovely goats. Weβd highly recommend this pub either for food or to stay too, and weβd love to return.

What a wonderful place to stay. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, who are very friendly and attentive. They are like one big family which began to feel a part of too. The breakfasts are superb with a great choice and the evening meals are delicious too. We originally booked for 4 nights but managed to stay one extra night...but such a shame we couldn't stay for the Sunday roast! It is the most dog friendly place I have stayed too. It is really well placed for walking too. We can't wait for our next visit.

Spent the night at the Mill after having a wonderful meal with 2 friends. A fabulous 3-course meal, that did not disappoint. After a great evening in a very festive atmosphere we retired to an extremely comfortable 6- king bed in a very well-designed bedroom with balcony views of the old mill wheel and stream. The only thing that lets this inn down is the lack of power in the shower.

Lovely pub, restaurant and b&b located in a very rural and scenic area within New Mills Parish boundaries. Great friendly and helpful staff. Great choice of drinks and food, also has a great outside seating area, in summer can eat and watch sports games outside. Pets welcome, also has a good sized carpark and a children's play area. Would highly recommend a visit.

Great little spot that the missus picked for a weekend away. My daughter, aged two loved exploring outside. The room was clean and comfortable. The pub down stair, warm & friendly people from the locals to the staff. The young waiters were a breath of fresh air. Very polite, couldn't do enough for you. Food was tasty & fresh. Would recommend
