Lovely traditional English pub. There's a real fire on your right as you walk in, which you can sit beside. Cosy, quiet atmosphere. Different areas/rooms to sit in. Well stocked bar. Comfy seating. Think they also have entertainment on certain nights. Would go back.

A lovely pub full of character and like a maze inside. Only 5 minutes walk from the train station. This was our second visit and it’s warm and familiar, like a hug from an elderly relative you visit once a year. There is a small beer garden at the back

Proper little, lovely pubs are really too rare these days. Beer selection isn’t the best but I’d put this up amongst my favourites.
Lord Boothroyd decided to visit Lord Eldon in this Tardis like pub. Rooms to the left of you, rooms to the right of you rooms in front of you as Lord Tennyson once wrote. Lovely pub. Loads of character. Only 2 real ales. Tetley bitter and Adnams Ghost Ship. Another 3- 4 and it could be a contender for top 20 all time. No food but pool room and courtyard beer garden. Great find. Been in many Good Beer Guides.
A decent pub serving decent beer. According to a reliable local, it's the only pub in Knutsford with a pool table which would make it a favourite for me! There are open hearths with bright, warm flames, there are hunting horns and polished brass adorning the walls and low beams to avoid with your head. It's cosy but it's bigger than it looks from the outside and seems to keep going. There plenty of seating space and a nice ambience. Dog friendly too which is good for many :-)
The best pub in Knutsford no competition! Great beer, very english, great people both in front of and behind the bar. They also show all the major and some minor sporting events. All in all a brilliant pub!
