We had an amazing prosecco lunch today. A great catch up with dear friends, and an amazing singer. The food was amazing, service superb and the bubbles readily replenished, thank you xxx
It's about 2 weeks ago myself and my wife and sister went here. I have to say the food was good but it was lacking in atmosphere. And this is obviously me showing my age even though I have had kids myself and it wasn't the restaurants fault. But it was the usual kids watching stuff on screens which I have no problem with. But I don't understand why parents can't give them headphones so everyone else doesn't have to join in on their viewing experience. I always say please and thank you to anyone that says me at a table but apparently this wasn't enough for the lady as she just clearly seemed to have taken a dislike to me for whatever reason. So obviously make your own choice but personally I probably wouldn't go back.
The family and I really enjoyed an evening meal here. The food was great, presented and tasted amazing. Service was great too. Looking forward to going back in the near future.
Lovely restaurant with nice modern decor. Service was fantastic, very friendly and attentive. The mozzarella starter was ok, nothing special. But the pork belly main course was unbelievable. Succulent pork full of flavour with a lovely well seasoned fennel bulb. Shame it was a quiet lunch service as it lacked a bit of atmosphere. Highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a high class restaurant with great food.
Amazing food! Lovely venue. We booked for 6:30 and we were only ones there for half hour, but at 7 things picked up and it became busy. Lovely food throughout, we enjoyed everything we had. Worth the money. I think most of beers were from bottle though, but local beers provided, so not bothered!
What a lovely venue. Delicious and punchy cocktails, a genuine welcome from all staff and top class food. Well worth the price, beautifully presented and compliments to the chef. Next time I'll starve myself so I can sample 3 courses! A lovely birthday treat, an asset to Chelmsford.
Really enjoyed lunch at the New London in Chelmsford today. We had the chateaubriand which is always excellent but they also have a good plant-based menu. Presentation was very sharp as seen in the photos.
The service was great can’t fault the friendliness and professionalism of the team. The food was delicious but unfortunately not perfect, my steak was medium rare and was chard on the outside and quite chewy for £34 I expected a much tender piece of meat. The ice cream was shards of ice which indicates it had been defrosted and re-frozen. The partridge had not been filleted correctly and had small sharp bones in it. The rest of the food was enjoyable.
Lovely ambience, tasty food, portion small, a bit pricey. But overall very nice place.
