   Check out process is a nightmare, not to mention the lack of sizes for suits. Went in to buy a Tux and spend ~£200, left without buying anything out of frustration. Very poorly managed.

   I don't know when the policy changed that without a receipt, you can no longer exchange an item for another item of gift card equivalent to its current value. Which I'd have likely been fine with - when attempting to return a gift for my daughter that was the wrong size - had the staff member explained it by engaging me like a human being. Instead, she went immediately on the offensive and acted like I'd stolen the item and was trying to pull off some sort of scheme to get - at best - £3 on a gift card for a shop I never visit. Absolutely disgraceful staff conduct. If I didn't shop here before, I certainly won't be from now on.

   Tried to get in touch to discuss getting a refund on two sets of matching bedding “Geo Pinsonic duvet sets” I purchased from this store. When I used them for the first time the pillows got tears in the seams and became frayed ..?? It’s happened to both sets one in blue and one in cream and it’s impossible to get in touch with anyone to resolve the issue.

   Lovely place to visit, with absolutely loads of different things to look at. We even had a lovely dinner in the cafe and then went back to pick up our shopping. Lovely morning out..could have spent more time there. Well done for a lovely place with a lovely cafe with nice food to choose from and beautiful clean toilets.

   I bought a few sale items, and decided to return them a couple of days later. They were unworn, fully tagged, untouched, fully packaged etc, many were not clothing items. Unfortunately they have a policy which they don't make clear that they will only refund sale items to a store card. The cashier couldn't point to anywhere around her till area where this was made clear. There was nothing on the receipt. The store manager could only point to one sign near the checkouts. Even then it was a footnote and not clear. I walked round the store and couldn't find anything else. I am aware that stores do this for final clearance items, but this wasn't the case, and they always make it clear. Matalan clearly hasn't done this, and can't be trusted.
