Walking down Saville row one can get a little peckish. I found this place while looking at pubs along the way. Although it was slight packed the hostess was able to get me a table right away. The waitress Andrea who is from Ecuador was great. I ordered the Al Pastor, beef brisket and soft shell crab tacos. Not realizing they come in threes and not a flight of three. I now know my personal limit is six (6) tacos in one sitting. So order accordingly. The tacos were great; packed with flavor and a bit of spice; enough spice to require an additional napkin to wipe the sweat from the back of my neck. Definitely worth a check if youβre in the area. They do have a bar area if reservations get full.

Great place for some tacos. Loved the soft shell crab and prawn tacos. Super fresh and flavourful. The al pastor and pork belly ones didnβt hit the same, but were decent. Our server was super friendly and warm. Would come back to try more things.

Excellent service, a magical place that truly captures the essence of Mexican culture. The guacamole is undoubtedly delicious; if you like spicy food, this is the place to enjoy it. An important detail: Brandon is very kind and patient, even if your English isn't perfect! Highly recommended.

We had a most memorable experience and meal, went there for El Pastor and Friends with Elena Reygadas. The food was absolutely fantastic, especially dessert. Drinks were great. Staff is so kind, welcoming, friendly, and attentive, and goes above and beyond. Special thanks to Juan and Mary. Music selection was great, and ambiance really takes you back to Mexico City. The place does get noisy, but everything else was so good that we didnβt mind. The pictures really donβt do the food justice. Everything was spectacular.

This experience on the whole was really good. All of the tacos that we had were good but the highlight were the fish tacos. They were delicious and the unlimited wraps were a very nice bonus. We also had some things which were not pictured such as the guacamole and nachos which weren't bad either. The service itself was solid if unspectacular that night, nothing of note made me think that the service was exceptional, but nothing which made me think that it was terrible either. Despite all the food and portions being good, there is only one issue I have with the restaurant and that is the amount of toilets there are. For the size of the restaurant and the number of patrons which can all dine in at once, the fact there are only two toilets when there are multiple tables which can fit four people, a bar area amongst other things is quite concerning. All in all, I would say I had a positive experience here.

Went for birthday meal before going to watch Moulin Rouge. Very close by to the theatre. Lovely restaurant, decor and atmosphere were very nice. Food was delicious. Quite expensive but the quality of the food made it worth that bit extra. Portion sizes were quite small but enough. Made it feel more high end. Cocktails were tasty and the desserts were divine. Especially the sweetcorn cake. Staff very friendly.

Food is amazing!! Great selection of chips and salsa. Margaritas are delicious. Booth tables are just too close to each other. Enjoyable experience.

I went for lunch here with a colleague and we had the best meal, all within the space of an hour. I highly recommend the Al Pastor tacos - these were the best thing I ordered. Closely followed by the fish tacos and the esquites (a must-have if you like corn!!). El Pastor is always a safe bet if you want good tacos. Iβve been to their restaurants in Borough Market and Coal Drops Yard, and can confirm that the Soho restaurant is a great addition.

This place serves tasty, creative and well executed Mexican food. The cocktail menu is inventive and enjoyable. However sadly they do not offer pitchers of Margarita; which they are missing a big trick on in my opinion. The tacos are great, but some of the menu options are insanely expensive for a Mexican restaurant and not worth it when you can spend the same money for better food elsewhere. Sadly our appetite for dessert was spoiled after a waiter publicly, and very loudly, declared we had to leave the restaurant as we had been at the table for two hours and other people had been double booked on the same table (as if this was our problem, not managementβs problem?!) This seemed incredulous to us, as there were clearly other spare tables available in the restaurant, plus we had spent over Β£360 between four people on multiple drinks and most items on the menu. We were more than happy to keep eating and drinking over a few hours at a leisurely pace, yet the waiter continued to loudly and publicly berate us, telling us the restaurant had a two hour booking policy - which none of us had been made aware of! (If we had known this was their idiotic policy, we would never have eaten at El Pastor, as who wants to have a relaxed Saturday brunch and be turfed out within two hours and a few hundred pounds later?) The phrase βknow your audienceβ was key here as the rudeness of the staff at customers clearly spending a lot of money and enjoying themselves ruined the entire experience. Which is a great shame as we would have happily stayed even longer and ordered more food and drink. So the search for a better Mexican restaurant shall continueβ¦
