4 years ago I had a wonderful day choosing a dress for my sons wedding so I thought I would repeat the experience for my 70th birthday. Jane Youngs dress shop did not disappoint. Had a lovely experience again on choosing a special dress for my 70th birthday. Special thanks to Sharon G who was very helpful.
I was looking for an outfit for my son’s wedding. I went into the shop to ask for advice and a lovely lady called Lindsey was on hand to help. She chose different styles of dresses for me to try on and I eventually found my dream dress, along with a matching hat. Lindsay was fantastic throughout my consultation and nothing was too much trouble, complementary tea was provided and as the dress was slightly big she was able to arrange alterations with the on site seamstress. I now have the perfect dress which fits me and I would highly recommend visiting Jane Young. I would like to say a big thank you to Lindsey and all of the other ladies who helped me with my fittings.
Booked an appointment at Jane Young two weeks ago looking for a dress for my daughter’s wedding. No idea what I wanted or what would suit me. Lindsey was absolutely fabulous advising on colour and fit and fetching what seemed like endless dresses from clothes rails and stock room. I now have what seems like the perfect dress which is currently being altered by one of Jane Young’s tailors, Cameron I think, to give me a perfect fit. I’m so happy with the whole Jane Young experience and will happily go back again the next time I want a really special dress.
I needed a last minute dress for Ascot Races as the weather was forecast to be very hot so I dashed into Jane Young Fashions in the hope of finding something. Hadee found me two gorgeous dresses and I bought both as I am also going to a wedding this summer so I’m now ready for the next occasion. Hadee was very helpful and patient and turned it into a stress free experience! Well Done!
I visited Jane Young yesterday with my mother-in-law hoping to find our outfits for my son’s wedding in June. We weren’t disappointed. Luckily our appointments coincided with their wedding show and we were treated to a catwalk of various amazing outfits. Afterwards, we were looked after by Haidee, a wonderful, friendly and very patient lady who made us feel very special. We got to try on a variety of beautiful dresses and her experience helped to find the perfect style and colour. Thank you to all the staff at Jayne Young but especially Haidee for a fantastic experience. I absolutely recommend you pay a visit. Xxx
spent the morning at Jane Youngs, we were met by Jess , who was absolutely fantastic. Took a lot of time finding out about my sons wedding, where it was, color schemes etc. very patiently worked with me and took me out of my comfort zone. Found me the perfect outfit which i would never have picked from the rail. Matched up with shoes, hat and bag. On top of this she had to deal with a boisterous 3 year old who was very excited. Thankyou Jess for making it a lovely experience for myself and my family. would definitely recommend to everyone
Thank you Sharon for such great service today. I had absolutely no idea what I wanted but within half an hour Sharon had found me the perfect dress! I love it. And also thank you to the lovely lady doing the alterations.
I was really undecided as to what style I was looking for for my daughter's wedding but Jess took her time and picked out several styles and colours for me to try on. It was a lovely experience and I did not feel rushed or pressurised. Lots to choose from and the added bonus that they have their own seamstress should any alterations be required. I eventually bought a beautiful cobalt blue outfit by John Charles which fitted me perfectly. Would definitely recommend.
Due to my mother of the bride dress being irreparably ruined by another retailer I went to Jane Young of Newark a week before my daughter's wedding. I wasn't sure that anything could be done for me but Debbie very patiently helped me find the perfect outfit. I didn't feel pressured and she kindly showed me many options until I felt good about my complete outfit. She suggested a small alteration to the the jacket. Charlotte the seamstress then came to see me and showed me how the alteration would look. When I told the ladies about the pressure on time, they quickly agreed that the alteration could be done with 2 days to go to the wedding on the Saturday. I was then called 4 days before the wedding saying the alterations had been completed and the dress was ready to collect. When I collected my outfit ALL the staff in the shop were so helpful and caring and expressed their concern over what had happened to me. I could not have had a more positive experience than this one. The staff were all caring and supportive and genuinely wanted to give me the best experience in light of what had happened. I cannot recommend this shop but more importantly, the staff, more highly. Thank you in particular to Debbie and Charlotte for giving me peace of mind that I will look good at my daughter's wedding in 4 days time.
Took my mum to Jane Young to look for a Mother of the Bride outfit. They have a wonderful selection suiting all different tastes in a huge shop with a spacious dressing area. We were attended to by Sharon G who was very helpful and had lots of suggestions. Mum narrowed down to a final 3 and eventually picked her favourite. It needed some alterations on the fit and along came Charlotte W who with a few nips and tucks made it fit perfectly. Thanks for a lovely experience. And lots of tea!
