First time visiting the shop this morning. Fantastic selection. I bought 2 tops, pair of jeans. Joggers, socks, belt and a gilet. Excellent quality and reasonably priced. Exceptional service by the gentleman and lady in the shop, sadly I did not get their names
Fantastic service, from first going in to look at suits for my wedding to finding the perfect suit and then all the after care adjustments. Special thanks to Andrew for going above and beyond. Will definitely be back again.
I popped in just to initially to look at a pair of sandals and ended up buying a pair of navy and tan Brancaster sandals and the mini Windsor bag in black, I received brilliant service from the lady staff member making me feel comfortable, and chatting to me all through my time in the shop, did not feel pressured as it was the nearing the end of the day for them, the gent was lovely too, two items added to my collection of Fairfax and favour, will most definitely be back and recommend your services.

Went in to the shop today to buy a Barbour jacket, was made to feel very unwelcome. Update-I travelled to Bakewell with my son for the sole reason of visiting Brocklehursts as they had been recommended to us by a friend for their large selection of Barbour jackets. The jacket was intended as part of my son’s 21st birthday present. We started off in the larger store where the gentleman assistant was very helpful but unfortunately they didn’t have anything that my son liked. The assistant then recommended that we should try the other store as they might have different stock available. We felt that the assistant at the next store (Bridge St) was not helpful at all, stating immediately that he didn’t have anything suitable for my son and that we should try John Lewis! I felt that he could have tackled the situation in a much better way- we were made to feel that we weren’t “good enough” to shop in this store. My son and I were thoroughly disappointed with the whole experience at this shop, to the point that we cut short our trip to the town and went home. I felt that we were being judged as perhaps being unsuitable clientele for this store.
I bought a Schoffel gilet from here at weekend. Great choice of menswear, service very good and there was parking too which was a real bonus as Bakewell's always busy.
Superb. Patient and customer focused. Great knowledge of own ranges too. Highly recommend if you are wanting an excellent collection of traditional outdoor wear. Been established 50 years which tends to speak for itself.
