Place has been renovated recently and it's been a large disappointment since opening. The updated interior is one of its strongest points with a modern and warm touch. However the space is used poorly and the ambience is quite poor for a pub in it's location. The room is not very practical as a whole. There are a number of large tables set up for 'chit-chat' - yet talking across these tables is prohibited by the blaring music from the early evening. It is convenient for a quick pint, however, for a warm and long chat, it is well worth checking out hope street up the road as this venue can get a bit too lively considering time and location on occasion. Overall, itβs a warm but convenient establishment if you don't mind a bit of noise and defeating beats.

The Fly is such a solid spot for a chill drink. Proper relaxed vibe, good music, and the staff are always sound. Drinks are decently priced and the atmosphere is laid back without feeling dead. Great place to start a night out or just hang out with friends. Always end up having a good time here.

I've not been in here for quite a few years but we were walking past and they had numerous drink offers advertised outside so we thought we'd try it out. It looks the same outside as it has done for many years but the interior has had a significant refurbishment and to me seems like a great improvement in the pub. They currently seem to have a few offers ongoing for a drinks while we were there. The bit I really like though was that the two pool tables were free of charge and we took advantage of that and had a few games. They have a reasonable range of beers and had two real ales on offer. Service was quick and attentive. There was plenty of seating and tables available and it was quite quiet during the afternoon but I'd imagine it would be very busy of an evening.

Had no food. Loved the decor and atmosphere, although it had been decorated and in my opinion esthetically from the outside went from very traditional and classy looking to a bit cheap and nasty complete with signs advertising shots and cheap cocktails, this didn't spoil my experience. Good beer selection. Pleasant surroundings. Definitely would return.

Very good Liverpool pub about 10 minutes walk from Lime Street Station. 5 cask beers on handpump when I visited including a stout. A few tables outside. The pub has an interesting history as Kirkland's Bakery and its name comes from their slogan 'no flies in the loaf'.

Smart and trendy real ale and craft beer pub. Decor is modern so feels a little cold and stale compared to a traditional pub.

I quite like it, but my friend Antony walked past and said it smelt of farts, so naturally, I have to reflect this in my rating. I hope you understand

This is a belter little pub. The staff are brilliant and friendly. They drop what they're doing to serve you and are friendly as anything. My phone gave up and one of the staff charged it up for me. Nice pint in their too

We never have been here at night but it's perfect for an after work drink or Saturday afternoon people watching out the windows with a pint. Great beers including Okells, Budweiser Budvar and usually a nice dark porter or stout, too. Both cask and keg ales. It's where we start nearly every dinner out in Liverpool.

Great spacious bar. Lots of seating on different levels on ground floor. Trendy bar. Good range of lagers, craft lagers/beers and top shelf spirits.
