We had the omakase tasting menu for 2 which was Β£95pp. The service was great, we sat upstairs which was not too loud. Food wise, pretty good, you get a lot in this menu and we were really full at the end. Special highlights are the black cod, the shrimp tempura, the yellowtail temakin and both rice bowls. The wagyu sando was overrated, the bread is way too sweet and the sauce overpowered the taste of the wagyu. The cocktails were also good, especially their version of the Pina colada (taka colada), as well as the fuwa fuwa highball.

Taka Marylebone. We sat outside and the service was the slowest Iβve had in a long time, and one plate never arrived. I suspect the terrace setup was the issue, so Iβll give it another chance with an indoor reservation and update this. For now Iβm disappointed with the food quality and the pacing. The room is quaint, the menu reads well, and the team seemed friendly, but my visit didnβt match that promise.

Taka was a great place to wind down after a long day. Soft lighting and chill music gave way for a relaxed atmosphere. It was hard to pick which dish was the best due to them all being extremely solid. Sake selection has some hidden gems that are unlikely to be found anywhere else. And lastly the service which I would deem pleasant & unique, and not something I would be able to find at another restaurant.

Surprisingly disappointing experience. I was drawn in by some great food photos and decided to try the tasting menu, but it really didnβt live up to expectations. The food was very average at best. The edamame was overcooked, and the California roll (along with another roll) tasted like something from a cheap delivery place, mostly thick rice with just a tiny bit of fish. I couldnβt even finish the meal. Tuna yolk dish and black miso cod can recommend to try, but the place is massively overrated and overpriced.

From the moment I arrived at this restaurant, I was blown away by the impressive selection of signature cocktails at the bar. The knowledgeable bartender was a standout, providing expert recommendations on which umami dishes to try. I was not disappointed - the food was absolutely delicious and exceeded my expectations. The bar's lively atmosphere and stylish decor created the perfect ambiance for a night out. Overall, I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a fantastic dining and cocktail experience.

All of the seafood were fresh and tantalizing. Creativity underscores the presentation of each dish. The standout dishes were the wagyu sando, wagyu rice, and the most tender chicken we have ever tried. Veggie dishes are also available just in case you don't eat meat or fish. The service was top-notch.

Underrated Japanese spot in central london. Food was delicious. The tuna tartar was incredible. The aubergine was so gorgeous but very sweet! The sushi I thought was mildly average, I didnβt get the huge panko crumbs on top. The wagyu sandwich is exceptional. Very pricy though.. and the popcorn shrimp is the best Iβve had!! Service was good but nothing special. I would recommend here!

Staff were really good and helpful here. Itβs more fusion than Japanese. Most of the food was good individually, just pricey for what it is. Chicken had the taste of being left standing. Acoustics upstairs are quite poor so itβs hard to hear anything.

Food was exceptional. Arrived without a plan or reservation but the chicken dish was recommended by a helpful guest eating outside. Tasty food. Excellent customer service.
