   Seto Japanese Restaurant, Camden Town I’d like to share our experience of dining at this friendly Japanese restaurant in North London. On Wednesday 10th September 2025, we booked a table at Seto, a place well known within the Japanese community. It was highly recommended to us by our friend Lisa, who is of Japanese origin. I ordered a miso soup, and it was absolutely delicious. The restaurant was full, with many people coming in to try and find a table, so I’d definitely recommend booking in advance. It’s clearly very popular, especially amongst the Japanese community. The interior is simple and perhaps a little tired, in need of an update, but the food is amazing. If you’re looking for authentic Japanese cuisine, it is absolutely worth the journey. For us, travelling all the way from South London, it was a real discovery, the staff were very friendly and the food was outstanding.

   We had a wonderful meal at Japanese Restaurant Seto in Camden. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The food was simple, authentic, and full of flavor. You can really tell the care that goes into each dish. Sadly, we heard that the restaurant might be closing soon. We truly hope that is not the case, as this place is a gem and we would love to come back!

   I wish I could've discovered this restaurant sooner. The moment I walked in it has a very homely atmosphere. We were seated right away and although it took a bit of time for the food to arrive, it is definitely worth the wait. The food is very authentic, and the portion is pretty decent for its price as well. Although the restaurant closes at 21:00, the people who ordered before the kitchen closed were still sat and talking after closing hours. It felt very nice to be in that space. Would definitely visit again

   Food has been changed a lot this time as I have been visited this restaurant for over 3 years, especially the rice, it is not the sushi rice now but tasteless. The old lady who was always in the shop with long hair was really rude, she collected the dishes right after we have been putting them down in less than 5 seconds, and always putting the bill on the table before we finished our desserts and drinks without asking. It has been happening for a few times in this half year, hopefully the shop can maintain the manners that the Japanese should have normally.

   A chilled restaurant with good, inexpensive and kindly served food. I loved that it doesn't cost you a fortune to have a decent meal. The salmon teriyaki and salmon gyoza were my favourite, the chicken ramen was also good, whereas I expected a bit more for the teriyaki chicken wings and the pork gyoza. Recommended!

   Authentic Japanese restaurant. I really enjoyed the ramen. The noodles has really good texture. It was on the slightly saltier side but I still enjoyed it. It gets quite busy and there were lots of customers. The Japanese owners were really friendly. The restaurant isn’t wheelchair friendly though, there is single big step to enter the shop. I’d return to try the other dishes.

   Amazing Authentic Japanese Restaurant! ✴️✴️✴️✴️ lovely environment , warmly and kind boss lady with the BRAVO traditional Japanese food would make you wanna try everything on the menu or excluded. Watch out the OPENING Hours in advance, because the boss is really on time! Highly recommended the Salmon Gyoza!
