   I cannot rate the whole Swinton Buildbase experience high enough. Being a DIYer I didn't expect a personal service but that's what I got. The lads in the office are always laughing and joking which tells a lot about their workplace ethic and their mechanical hire manager was exemplary. I first hired a whacker plate when the weather was awful and they took it back and rehired it later at no extra cost. Superb service.

   Delivery fast. No email or any time slot for delivery. Just delivered when they want. Change product without inform. Product cheaper that the actual product ordered not refunded. No communication at all. Many thanks I know what I should avoid next time.

   I bought £800 worth of materials from this place two months ago but they send me wrong materials so I ask them to take it back & wanted refund. They said I have to pay restocking & delivery charge which is 15 percent + delivery £30 Total should be £150 but they over charged me and made me pay £335 which I didn’t understand so I asked the person who was assisting me called Don Robertson he couldn’t give me a good explanation plus took ages to refund my money. All I can say about this place is a big scammers try avoiding this place.

   I bought 6 bags of blue slate on 03.07.20. The man on reception was very pleasant and helpful. He also fully complied with the companies social distancing policy. I picked up the bags outside from the service yard and again all staff were very helpful. In fact the operative helped me to load the bags into the back if my car. I will be visiting Buildbase again because their prices are very reasonable and customer service is excellent. Service with a smile rules ok.

   Bought near £600 of materials including several bags of cement; one of the bags visually looked fine but realised the bottom 1/4 had got wet and gone off, phoned for either a replacement or refund, was effectively ridiculed as had product 2 weeks and then bribed it may be knocked off if I bought more materials. See their refund policy, I should have been reimbursed as was within the remits of their policy, manager Steve never phoned me back, very disappointing as prefer to shop local where possible.
