Don’t even want to give them 1 star! Rang to enquire about a washing machine repair , first thing he said was ‘you sound like a nice lady !! Anyway told me there was a call out fee I had to pay upfront , fair enough and it would be taken off the main bill, all good so far , said he would send me a special code so I could pay the initial call out fee , and took my mobile number and said a repair man would contact me when he would be calling to do repair . Heard nothing all day , phoned next day to see why I had heard nothing , was given a lecture by this man he said I phoned you 17 times yesterday and left several messages .To answer your call now , I have had to pull over in my car and the police wouldn’t be very happy with me !! I will phone you back when I have dealt with a customer I am just going to , he was horrible to me , and I have been very upset since he spoke to me like this , I have since got another company to come out and repair my washing machine , awful experience with Homers of Quarry Bank

Great service. My LG Freeview HDD/DVD recorder had stopped working. Derek diagnosed the problem, ordered a new power supply and fitted it within a few days. Everything working perfectly again. Thatnk you Derek. Very pleased.

Absolutely shocking service. They definitely take advantage of people on their own. Mom washing machine would not rinse. They convinced her it was the motor gone. Paid for that, it still wouldnt rinse, they then found a blocked pipe so she paid for that. Then as soon as it was switched on it tripped the electric. They have just had it for 8 days, say it needed a new heater. Prior to it going to their shop the washer was silent. God knows what they have done to it now but it sounds like an old tin can. Just a disgusting way to treat old people. Ultimately they have just cost her a washing machine when all that was wrong was a blocked pipe.

I got in touch with Derick about our oven/grill that needed repairing. He was extremely helpful, yes required a deposit, but the two engineers that came round did a temporary repair and requested the replacement part for the grill. He was very polite on the phone and very helpful. I have no problems using him again or recommending him. (My husband and I are in our mid 70's and the offending grill was over 25 years old!)

If it was possible to give 0 stars I would, while my windowed mother was on her own. They came to the house twice, demanding £90 for having to be called out, which is disgusting as on their website it clearly states call out is £29 . We went back to the shop to attempt to get the money back, to which we were told that they can charge any amount they like. Avoid this place as they target vulnerable people, it is absolutely disgusting.

I don't normally write reviews but the service I have had from Homers has been so poor, I feel compelled to! FOUR visits to repair a vacuum cleaner. Initially it was a motor issue but the next three were due to the same fault re-occuring every time. The repair was done under a Panasonic guarantee. I was patient and accepted the confused look and the "they are usually so reliable" comments I got each visit. Once the 4th repair did not work, I was told it was best to go back to Panasonic as it was not repairable. We did and Panasonic contacted Homers only to the told the fault was due to poor maintenance. The fault is the on/off the switch barely works and it cuts out when you put it upright. Clearly, the repair has been repeatedly botched and to get out of a tricky situation, Homer then decided to simply it is down to faulty maintenance. Shockingly bad service and clearly incompetent. To top it all off when I called he initially denied saying it was a maintenance issue but when pressed on the issue changed his mind half way through (along with inferring I was an idiot). Poor, poor poor! I have made a video to send to Panasonic showing that it is an internal connection issue and will also be making a complaint both to Panasonic and the company they use to contract out the repairs as using Homers is doing both a disservice. My advice is stay well away. ** after a long battle with Panasonic, they did eventually agree to have the cleaner looked at by another repairer who quickly found that fault to be due to the switch being re-fitted incorrectly by Homer. The 2nd repairer had it up and working fine within the hour.
