My husband took me here for my birthday. Overall we really enjoyed it and would definitely go back. All of the food was lovely, home made and just tasty. The staff were so friendly and it seems they really enjoy their job. They are knowledgeable about the food, wine etc. The only thing which spoilt the atmosphere a little (and through no fault of the restaurant) was there was a large group of men who kept singing loudly and they were just not considerate of other guests. It just was not the vibe as the restaurant is cosy and romantic.

We had a wonderful dinner last night at The Garrick in Covent Garden. The food was absolutely full of flavour, beautifully prepared, and genuinely memorable. The service was excellentβ€”friendly, attentive, and welcoming without ever feeling intrusive. A special thank you to the french team for the lovely gesture for our daughter’s 19th birthday. The complimentary champagne, eau de vie and dessert made the evening feel truly special, and we really appreciated the personal touch, merci Sammi! Great atmosphere, great food, great value. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Decent French food but unfortunately was a bit of a miss for us - the mussels were sadly a bit chewy, though the salmon, the goat cheese salad, the fries and the olives were good. While the staff are really nice and friendly, we had a few misses that impacted our experience (gave us dirty plates between courses, had to be reminded a few times about drinks we’d ordered, struggled to set down dishes, etc). The ambiance is lovely, however the bathrooms are tiny and really difficult to navigate if multiple people go at once, which was unideal. All in all, a decent spot for a small group and it’s possible we caught them on a bad night, though wasn’t the best experience for us.

Wonderful little French restaurant. Had the onion soup, Boeuf Bourguignon, and a basque cheesecake for dessert. All were excellent; I didn’t leave a crumb left of a single item I ordered. Place is on the smaller side, so it might be a good idea to reserve online, but I made one same-day about 2 hours prior and there was no trouble. Highly recommend.

Had a great lunch here. Friendly service, their set meal is very worth it. The portions are generous - we had the moules frites and it came in a big pot! The only thing is that the cheese wasn't fully melted in the onion soup. We had the plat du jour which was rabbit stew - fab choice! All in all, we were pleased with our impromptu lunch plan. Seats outside are perfect for autumn but maybe a little challenging to get the attention of the wait staff but not a very big deal.

Had lunch with some friends. The table outside it's on a sidewalk very crowded, so it's almost impossible to eat without someone "rubbing" your chair. The food was good, but the daily menu has small portions, smaller than "a la carte" dishes. Of course, it's cheaper. The waitresses are nice, they speak French, biensur. :)

We went for a pre-theatre meal. We were there for over an hour and a half and struggled to get the dessert in. It was oh so busy! Great atmosphere thou, downstairs in particular quirky and interesting, with tables, in good bistro tradicion, on the smallish side. The food was pretty good, particularly the mains, we had onglet steak frites and moules frites, both very good. The tarte au citron for dessert was delicious and the ice cream, vanilla was good but the chocolate scoop was excellent. The service attentive but so busy that at times it felt like they couldn't cope All in all, excellent value for money but give yourselves plenty of time

My husband and I decided to have dinner here for our anniversary. It was a delightful experience. We loved the cosy and intimate vibes of the resto. We ordered 3 courses: French onion soup as a starter, duck confit as a main and creme brΓ»lΓ©e as a dessert. We enjoyed all of them very much and serving size was just right. Price was mid-range and reasonable. I just deducted one star because we had to ask for water several times before our glasses were refilled but this is very minor and I’m sure it’s because the restaurant was busy when we went.

Lovely restaurant with authentic French food and friendly staff. We had the steak for 2 with sides and it was delicious, huge and great value. The atmosphere downstairs is warm and cosy too.
