Disgusting attidtude to my customer rights when being missold faulty items. I went in to purchase helix jewellery. When I asked I was directed to a cluster of jewellery and asked if they were surgical steel. When I got home, one did not fit and the other snapped. I returned them to store and they refused to refund faulty items that I had originally been incorrectly sold. Apparently I had purchased septum jewellery ( I do not have my septum pierced so wouldn't know). The staff were incredibly rude and even threatened to remove from the store as I mentions my rights as part of the Consumer Act. I was not made aware on no returns as they moved the stands out of my way to look at the jewellery. I was told to return tomorrow when the girl who served me would return. I won't be returning here again for anything. Disgusting they way I was spoken to for asking questions and explaining my rights only to have other staff in the store come over. Ultimately I will be going to trading standards about this!

This was a brilliant shop to visit, located conveniently in Meadowhall at the vintage area! The shop feels majestic when surrounded by different items; these are laid out properly, staff were lovely too. I bought an ornament for £3.99, marking a fabulous decoration for my desk!

I bought earrings from here once and the stones fell out the day I bought them. Took them back the same day and was told I could only have an exchange as they were earrings...but they were faulty and I just wanted my money back. I came here last night as well, was looking for a nose stud. I was at the front of the shop and two female members of staff were there. One serving as the other was doing something....anyway, I waited and started to feel awkward as neither said hello. I was right in front of the counter as well. Quite rude, still, after all these years. Further affirms I won't bother again. Cleopatra is so much better and the staff are lovely.

I am writing this on behalf of my wife. She bought two tops and a mug. They were described as one size fits all. This is unfortunately not the case. She could only try the tops on when she got home they did not fit. To small. She tried to return the items to the store, were she was surprised to find that the store's return policy is credit note or exchanges only. She requested her money back ( put back on her card) this the store refused to do. She pointed out that there should have been a sign next to the till that was clear to read by all customers. The sign is on a wall but behind two display stands. Not obvious at all. When this was pointed out to the sales person the reply was its been their for seven years as long as she has been employed there, not helpfull when it was my wife's first visit to the store. When asked if it would be useful if a fitting room could be provided to eleviate the need to be only able to try things on when you get home she was told she could have gone to the public toilet to try them on,but she would have to pay first. This begs the question if she returned them straight away and she had paid by card and they had this no cash refunds how would they have given her the money back? Anyone who shops at this store be aware of the returns policy. I am going to contact trading standards to see if they can help. It is not the money £47 although as a pensioner it's enough but there's a principle here. By all means if you have a returns policy like this warn your customers of it. So they can make a considered decision whether to purchase or not. Not when they receive the till receipt

I felt that I had to write something very positive about this amazing store. It's truly a haven for anyone of the alternative community, goths, rockers I am the administrator of a facebook page with 24000 likes for crossdressers. Crossdressers are men who like to dress as women. Believe it or not the majority are very straight men. Most of them are far too embarrassed to go into a shop and buy any girly item. They end up buying online or going to specialist shops and end up paying ten times the going rate. It's common for them to pay £30 for a pair of tights a woman can get in a chemist for £2.I know I am married to one! Today I sent the chief executive of our company to Extravagance after being told of this amazing place. There was a lovely lady called Olivia who was incredibly helpful to our male CEO who said "I could spend a month in this place." The goth and alternative community has always been incredibly welcoming to crossdressers and I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this place to anyone. Everything is very reasonably priced and the staff are super helpful. It's truly a haven for anyone of the alternative community, goths, rockers especially. So please don't delay go and visit them today.
