Disappointed with my visit today. Several clothing items were labelled with percentage discounts that didn’t match the price they scanned at the till. It caused confusion at checkout and meant having to question the prices. Staff were polite, but pricing and labelling really need to be accurate to avoid this happening.
I visited this shop today, not one of the clothes size tags correlated with the actual size. Not ONE. Maybe the 3 store assistants should have spent less time continuously chatting for the 15 minutes I was in the store and more time ensuring the clothes are on the correct hangars. I actually gave up looking at the suit as it was hard work bending and trying to find what I was looking for.
A bit empty at this time of the day but they have good prices on almost everything. Plus you get a 20% discount on a Matalan card if tou shop £40. Worth a visit.
Staff are so friendly helpful shopping for my mum with Alzheimer's and my daughter Autistic they will go out of there way to help even ideas on home and bedding great service Thankyou Matalan
Nice easy store to get round lot of stock at reasonable prices and helpfull staff .i bought two nice jumpers and my husband a jacket and waistcoat.
Nice staff and plenty of good clothes and trendy.
Really need to sort tills out, only having two tills open that take cash and one of them is for returns only. Stood in a que for half an hour due to tills not working properly
Great products and clothes, but massively understaffed, no one on the shop floor and only 2 staff members at the tills. Has to be said, the few staff that are there are kind and polite. Which is surprising considering they're each doing the jobs of about 5 people! Hope they get good bonuses for Christmas! Have to do self service checkout with touch screen tills but no hand sanitizer to use before and afterwards.
Tons of room, lots of "sales points" (that's tills in normal language), one of the largest Matalan stores around. They play music for ambience but they've got the volume just about right, and the music's not bad either. Overall, quite a nice experience.
Be careful. Sale items may not be genuine! The original price of this was £6. Apparently so was the sale price. I was told various stories by staff!
