   Absolutely the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had at any JD store. I bought a pair of shoes from this branch the evening before and returned the next afternoon because they didn’t suit my needs. (Total Purchase value 245) The shoes were never worn outside—only tried on briefly in-store, exactly as any normal customer would do before buying. When I went back for a refund, I was made to wait almost 30 minutes only to be told the shoes were “worn.” When I asked what made them think that, the staff came up with a completely baseless explanation about “tiny fibres” that supposedly meant the shoes had been cleaned with a towel. Not only was this claim ridiculous, but no one could even show me these so-called fibres. When I politely asked for clarity, the manager became defensive, rude, and dismissive. Instead of addressing the issue or explaining the policy, I was told to leave the store and even advised to “try other JD stores,” which makes absolutely no sense if they genuinely believed the shoes were unusable. It felt like they simply didn’t want to deal with the return and made up excuses to avoid it. To confirm whether I was mistaken, I went to another JD store right after — and they processed a full refund in under five minutes without a single issue. This proves the refusal here was inconsistent, unjustified, and handled with zero professionalism. This branch seriously needs customer-service training and consistency in applying their own policies. The way they treat customers is unacceptable, and I will avoid this location from now on.

   Customer service is dire in this shop !! . It was more important to the staff to put t,shirts on hangers while glaring at you than to serve , I put the stuff back , will never go there again .

   Visited the Broughton store today was very busy. Rachel on the till was very polite and quick she handled the situation very professionally felt bad for the lady on the other till as she had a very difficult customer who was being very unreasonable and she was doing the best she could 10/10 lady's keep up the good work

   So disgusted, visited the Broughton shop today think it would be quite safe. But no one on the door counting people entering the shop, when you get inside there is no social distancing,as it is impossible with the amount of people in there.I asked one of the staff if they have anyone on the door,she just said no,so i said there is no way you can social distance and walked out. Sorry but i won't be buying from this shop again. Surely they could make a bit of a effort to keep there customers safe. It must be bad even my 15 year old grandson said lets get out of here.

   Doing the dreaded school shoe shop. We must have tried on 20 pairs of shoes each in 3 different sizes. The staff were very patient and helpful. Even the 3rd time we went back to try on the same shoes again!! Great shoe wear staff!
