Great little place with good ordinary cafe fare and indulgent cakes. Tea and coffee always good and served with a smile.
We were made most welcome at this little coffee shop. Coffee and food was excellent as was the service from the staff who were most pleasant and attentive. We would highly recommend a visit to this excellent establishment.

Great food, staff are Really nice, jane and Becky are an asset to the cafe, the toilets are really clean and tidy, the whole cafe is clean, well worth a visit.

Googled some where local to have coffee but went further afield rather than area we live. Saw one on Google so went there, decided against that one and saw max's coffee instead. Went in, warm welcome. Polite lady took our order told us to take a seat and she'll being order over with the cakes we ordered also. Friendly, polite and just felt really comfortable. Beautiful cake, beautiful coffee. Thank you. We meant what we said when we said see you soon. You'll deffo' see us soon. Keep up the good work.
Decided to visit this small branch coffee shop and found the shop itself provided a cosy atmosphere, however during my visit none of the tables were cleaned and I found the coffee itself to be harsh and bitter. Overall a disappointing experience.
Welcome addition to Clarence Road. Family owned, and family run ('Max' refers to the owners' young son, as proudly confirmed by his T-shirt). Locally roasted coffee to complement the excellent range of locally baked cakes on offer. Pleased to see plenty of support on the opening day.
