Absolutely pathetic, staff super rude and unhelpful, drove 20 miles to collect an emergency new born bottles and camera only for some smug clown to smile and say nope, then whilst on phone to my partner at the exit to the store some woman worker starts shouting crap over to me ( didn’t catch what she said as I was on the phone ). Avoid this store if you can, I have read the reviews from others and as always I thought “no it can’t be that bad “ but I was wrong the young male who was serving was an absolute piece. Come on Argos think about the staff you employ here

The poor reviews here are 100% correct.
The management are disgusting, condescending, patronising, mocking and downright judgmental.
Horrible people.
I’ve had several problems here with the female and the tall male manager and there little joeys copying there behaviour, never before have I come across anybody treating there customers in this way, you leave feeling rubbish, even bumping into the female manager around the store or car park on the way out gives you an awful creepy uncomfortable feeling, she has them awful bad energy vibes oozing from her soul.
The last issue I had, I took a 2 week old hgv sat nav that was faulty back, I even booked the return online when it was 6 days old.
They refused and demanded I take a video of it performing the fault, what whilst driving a 44 ton articulated truck?
They literally judged me as inferior and made the decision I was not worthy of an exchange.
I had a stand off with them in front of other customers, felt humiliated left extremely angry and frustrated.
I went to Retford Argos and the staff there was really nice, they took the sat nav back and I put an extra £180 towards a better model.
Not the first issue I’ve had with these and there attitudes and it won’t be the last, which is why I and nobody close to me will ever return to this store.
I even had the female manager a while back making snide comments to me when I was trying to be friendly and polite whilst buying blood sugar testing strips.
Awful people in there.

Avoid at all costs. The manager her is arrogant and rude and she enjoyed every minute of it. Not only did I feel mocked for bringing a faulty item back, she didn’t even check it properly stating she have access to water? Walked away feeling humiliated while she had a smug grin on her face. Got home and rang customer services up who were amazing, they listened and accepted the return with an instant refund and a currier to pick up the item next day. Thank you to them. I always buy from Argos Meadowhall who are great by the way but in future I’m ordering from Amazon without fail! ARGOS if you read this you have lost a loyal customer just because of this lady! look at my orders which are multiples a month.

Absolutely appalling customer service.
Avoid this store and save yourself the hassle—travel further if you can. The staff, particularly S***** is completely unprofessional. His attitude was dismissive, rude, and made the entire experience unnecessarily stressful. He should not be in a customer-facing role and seriously needs to reconsider whether this job is right for him.

Just wanted to hop on here and just say a huge thank you to the wonderful manager that runs this store. He's dealt with me a couple times regarding a Bluey shopping centre (Hammerbarn) and each time I received the wrong item without the tradies truck. Online services were useless and were of no help. Well today, he went above and beyond and reached out to my next local store for the correct item and got them to reserve it for me. He's an absolute asset to this store and you've made my little girl so happy. I'm very grateful. He was kind enough to gift me a 10% off voucher for my trouble which he didn't have to do but kindly did so. Thank you!

Wasn’t informed of a collection being “ready to collect” and the item was returned to the seller. Staff member who answered the phone after 7 calls was very adamant it was “impossible” that their system could have messed up and that I would definitely have received the collection number (this is the same system that allows collection for items that don’t are not actually in stock and I wasted a journey)
Now going to have to pay extra to get the item rerouted to my home. Could have at least looked into what went wrong instead of being adamant it’s “impossible” something had gone wrong, when it clearly had. Disappointed.
