The mince pies were spectacular, honestly wish we’d ordered more. The biscuit tins were beautiful, we used one as a present. A special thank you to the bakery accommodating a late request to be delivered Christmas Eve. We can’t wait to visit the shop again and eat in, which both the wife and I did in the summer and the menu was stunning. Happy New Year.

Amazing atmosphere, delicious food, brilliant staff, very attentive even though it was very busy which came to no surprise since Early Bird is very popular. Overall, a lovely work Xmas brunch. Thank you for having us. Will visit again soon.

I’ve come here over the years for takeaways, with friends and family and to just get admin work done. I really liked this bakery and the staff are so so nice. However, since they expanded the bakery, it’s just become chaotic. They’ve lost some nice staff due to not accommodating for the expansion. For example, they should have made a separate coffee bar so that there is space for a bigger coffee machine for at least 2x staff to focus on hot drinks. 1 poor staff member sweating over trying to make the whole bakery’s coffees and all the takeaway drinks. Freeing up space by having a separate drinks making space would allow for more space in the front for 2x tills as there are cues now. Only 1x till also means that another staff member is stuck by themselves dealing with orders, takeaways and all the online orders. The staff honestly look quite stressed, I really feel for them. Especially as they are so nice to me, and a few of the female staff I get on well with. Once this is addressed it would be back to 5 stars as a rating! Other than that, the bakery items are good quality, food is really nice, creative flavours although quite pricey these days. I would not want to pay more if the prices went up further. The coffee is also quite nice and I really like the in house creations such as the miso caramel which you can also buy in store!

Delicious quality food and pastries. The pictures speak for themselves. The decor is a bit sparse and cold and only one toilet with tissue plugging the key hole and a hand dryer that would take a week to dry your hands is a bit unfortunate. Not a fan of having no menu to look at, its a QR code system which is time consuming having to enter all your card numbers. Rather than the usual quick tap. As a resident of Kings Heath this place feels very hipster and more like it belongs in Mosely. I hope more restaurants and bakeries like this one continue to open here.

Me and my partner visited on the weekend. We arrived at a good time (just after 10am) as from reading previous reviews this place gets busy and we managed to get high chair seating. I actually think the decor is nice especially when you consider the pastry display you have at the front counter an immediate staring point. It is not cluttered especially when food places are becoming more overwhelming with choice these days. The menu presented had variety but I know for my partner (being he doesn't like eggs and the meat not being halal) he struggled a bit but managed to find something eventually with some tweaking. Overall, EVERYTHING we had was a 10/10. My partner reckons I'm petty when I have to reluctantly give out 10s to a place but this was the easiest one I have given out in a while. Service was welcoming and professional. I saw how well they kept up with queueing customers outside as well as patrons inside. Lastly, we had two pastries, two mains, two sides and one hot drink all coming under £45. In today's economy I would say that is very reasonable as we felt thoroughly fed and nourished. Until next time.. ✨

Fabulous food. It's always busy here, so be prepared for a bit of a wait if the cafe is busy. A great selection of different foods on the brunch menu. A fabulous selection of cakes to eat in or takeaway.

You have to go to this place if you enjoy high quality fresh food and cakes! One of the best freshly made breakfasts you can get in the UK. Completely faultless, great vegetarian and vegan options too. Our table of 4 all agreed we will be returning every time we visit the area, so glad my sister just moved round the corner! See you soon The Early Birds Bakery!

Amazing little and cosy bakery, has some tables so you can sit and have some delicious brunch and coffee. The brunch is high quality- homemade type. Personal favourite are the hash browns with homemade ketchup, absolutely delicious! Coffee and cakes are lovely as well. Definitely recommend!
