“The mince pies were spectacular, honestly wish we’d ordered more. The biscuit tins were beautiful, we used one as a present. A special thank you to the bakery accommodating a late request to be delivered Christmas Eve. We can’t wait to visit the shop again and eat in, which both the wife and I did in the summer and the menu was stunning. Happy New Year.”

“Wow! What a gem on the Hagley Road! My partner and I had a late breakfast here on a Saturday, and what a joy it was. My partner ordered the Saganaki omelette and I ordered the Feta omelette. We also got two black americanos. The food arrived quickly, and was sublime. Both omelettes came with a lime wedge, a pickled pepper, raw onion, fresh mint, fresh basil and fresh flat leaf parsley. I greatly appreciated the herbs as I love them all, and I personally seasoned my omelette liberally with them. The omelettes also came with sesame flatbread, which we used to mop our plates clean! The coffees were great as well, with my only very minor note being that it would have been nice to have them in a glass with a handle, as they were too hot to handle for about 10 minutes. There is a single loo, which is accessible and well-maintained. Bonus points for a lovely sink basin. I'm including photos of the menu, which we were told has been recently updated. I think the prices are very reasonable for such good quality food. The cafe is decorated very nicely, and my only note about the general ambience was that the music was a very slight bit too loud for my taste. The staff were friendly and helpful, and created a friendly atmosphere. We will be back soon for a lunch and / or dinner - thank you Cafe Rumi!”

“The array of bread and pastries are great, with huge variety of both sweet and savoury options to have in or take away. Following suit, the menu is HUGE, especially for brunch, with lots of creative and unique options that you wouldn’t find elsewhere, mostly spins on brunch classics. We had the brisket benny, which was pretty nice. Pulled brisket and hollandaise sauce, with poached eggs and an English muffin. It was good, but didn’t quite live up to our excitement when we read it on the menu, falling a little flat. That being said, it was tasty and we will sure be back to try some other stuff as it all looked fab. I had a plain Crossiant, which unfortunately was verging on stale. Good flavour, but it was very hard and really wasn’t even close to my dreams of a flakey and light pastry. Oh well. The teas we had were very tasty, and the vibes in the place are pretty cool. There’s many rooms to choose from, so it does feel cosy and atmospheric. The staff were also nice, being pretty attentive and got the job done.”

“I've been shopping here for years and always have a great shopping experience... I was in last Thursday This is an exceptional store, very friendly staff, always willing to offer assistance when asked politely and spoken to like a person not a servant.. These members of staff are doing an incredible job and deserve a little courtesy and respect !! On occasion I've witnessed some customers being demanding and discourteous... Believe me, I'd have thrown them out permanently if it was my shop. I have never witnessed any of the staff here being anything but polite to all the customers... even the rude ones !! In a nut shell... if a customer has a poor experience at this store... then maybe it's not quite as simple as it seems. On a big plus this store is impeccably clean and a real credit to the Iceland brand... I was helped by Debbie and Claire who were happy to get more products from the back for me as they were in the middle of restocking. Thanks ladies... Great job as always.”

“Waiting an hour or so for a train, could see this place from the ground floor, thought it would be perfect to spend my hour! Escalators up but, there is a lift too just not so easy to see, as I had suitcases, that’s for me. Lovely pleasant staff, found my seat next to the glass railing with a commanding view of the bull. Picked from a good menu, tasted great, plenty of it, well presented. Coffee was good too. And you aren’t stuck in a shop, the people watching is great! I didn’t know the bill performs on the hour!! A very pleasant hour, thoroughly recommend.”

“We've just moved nearby and what a great little shop! Has a great variety of food, items, lovely fresh bread, household goods and drinks. I was super impressed and very relieved that we can come here rather than the rather grim little supermarket just up the road! The Co-op was clean, tidy, well stocked and has an amazon locker too. Excellent!”

“Went there Tuesday night before going across to the Cineworld cinema. The prices have gone up but the food was amazing. I had the triple cookie dough which is £8.95, the person serving was super friendly and the dessert was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Definitely recommend coming here for a treat! (The chairs could do with upgrading though as they're looking pretty tatty, which is a shame as it's a lovely restaurant)”

“Cody is a legend. He made me a focaccia sandwich. I asked him to surprise me with the contents and he did not disappoint! With spicy salami, dried tomatoes, mayo and cheese, it was delicious. I didn't take a picture because I ate it before I could look for my phone and I'm not sorry, it was so worth it.”
