We were staying in Sutton Coldfield for a weekend and needed breakfast. What a find!! This wonderful local bakery that is in an old iron mongers is FABULOUS! We loved it so much we went twice over a weekend. The patisserie selection is reminiscent of Paris. The coffee is brewed perfectly and the hot food is delicious. We had eggs benedict and the sweet sticky ham was more-ish. The hollandaise sauce was perfectly made. The sourdough bread is delicious and we asked for plain scrambled eggs for one of our fussy eaters and they literally ate every morsel, which is rare. The atmosphere is really lovely with the flowers and the art work, cosy chairs etc. The service was friendly, inviting and helpful. Will definitely visit again next time we're in Sutton Coldfield.

A Hidden Gem – Wholesome Food & Great Coffee at Bakehouse We recently visited Bakehouse and was absolutely blown away. From the moment we walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a fantastic experience. The food was nothing short of outstanding – wholesome, hearty, and clearly made with care and quality ingredients. Every bite felt like comfort on a plate, full of flavour and freshness. We tried a couple of their dishes (se pics) and each one was delicious, satisfying without being heavy – the kind of food that leaves you feeling genuinely nourished. And let’s not forget the coffee – smooth, well-balanced, and just what I needed to complement the meal. Whether you're popping in for a quick brew or staying for brunch, Bakehouse hits the mark. I’ll definitely be back. A real treasure for anyone who appreciates good food and a relaxed, friendly vibe. Andy & Julie

During our recent visit to The Bakehouse, we were thoroughly impressed and can confidently say that we highly recommend it! This was one of the best brunches we've ever had, easily ranking among the top spots in Birmingham. Great service, atmosphere and variety of options. As a delightful bonus, we couldn't resist taking some pastries to go, which were just as delicious as our brunch! We're so happy to have discovered this gem, and we encourage everyone to visit if you get the chance. You won't be disappointed!

Went for lunch with my sister and son. Very accommodating my son is autistic and can be very particular with food and catered to his very specific requests. Seemed busier upstairs so sat downstairs. Food was delicious and everything very fresh. Good menu and selection of deserts avaliable. 2 ladies working was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely visit again!

The array of bread and pastries are great, with huge variety of both sweet and savoury options to have in or take away. Following suit, the menu is HUGE, especially for brunch, with lots of creative and unique options that you wouldn’t find elsewhere, mostly spins on brunch classics. We had the brisket benny, which was pretty nice. Pulled brisket and hollandaise sauce, with poached eggs and an English muffin. It was good, but didn’t quite live up to our excitement when we read it on the menu, falling a little flat. That being said, it was tasty and we will sure be back to try some other stuff as it all looked fab. I had a plain Crossiant, which unfortunately was verging on stale. Good flavour, but it was very hard and really wasn’t even close to my dreams of a flakey and light pastry. Oh well. The teas we had were very tasty, and the vibes in the place are pretty cool. There’s many rooms to choose from, so it does feel cosy and atmospheric. The staff were also nice, being pretty attentive and got the job done.

Delicious, well presented, hot and excellent value for money! Great place to eat breakfast or coffee and cake - although such a massive selection was hard to choose!!! We had Croque Monsieur and Baked Eggs for brunch and then took away the most deliciously light Oreo Brownies and chocolate & raspberry cake.
