We came in today for an iced latte and were served by Luke—he was so kind, friendly, and welcoming. However, we noticed another staff member who came across as quite bossy and unfriendly toward the team, which could be handled in a more positive way. Huge thanks to Luke—you’re amazing!
Wasn’t keen. If you want a quiet coffee then you have got no chance here. Staff are extremely loud with the cutlery and saucers/plates/mugs. Is it competition for who’s the loudest? Quickly drank my drink and went. I’ll stick to greggs.
Came in with my wife for a drink and explained to the manager on shift (Tuesday the 18th of Feb, 11am) that I had a nut allergy. I've been to plenty of Costa's before and this has never been an issue, it's just standard practice to make the staff aware and so they can confirm that the drink I'm looking to order doesn't contain nuts The manager seemed immediately annoyed and insisted on reading out entire allergy policy, not something I've experienced before but fair enough She then asked me if I'd like my server to - wash their hands, clean the equipment and clean the cups... Allergy or not I'm pretty sure the staff should be doing all of that anyway. When I said yes she huffed and started piling the items that would need be washed in front of me while yelling to seemingly no one in particular that "these need to be cleaned" before saying "actually, this one is fine" and putting a cup back. She then went and got a member of her team and told him to clean the equipment she had piled up and wash his hands in a very rude manner. I felt sorry for him I've never been made to feel unwelcome and like a burden for simply stating my allergy before, though judging by other recent reviews it may have nothing to do with that, it seems she's rude to most customers
the best costa I've been to, they make the best hot choco and are so kind to EVERYONE :D it would be nice if there was more indoor seating!
Had 2 very nice lattes 1 soya made by the barista Jack I enjoyed it that much I went back and had another one .
Cash only today although I am of an age to remember how to use it. Bit of a wait to be served with a polite apology although my request to have my waiting time knocked off the bill fell on deaf ears. Sadly no toilet is available and of course any ensuing inconvience is apologised for(tell my bladder that) however the public facilities are located round the corner in the shopping centre so it saves any unnecessary cleaning on Costa's part
Bacon Roll for a quid with any medium hot drink purchased before 11:00am. Couldn't resist the offer. Have to say it was rather better than I was expecting.
