   Would strongly advise against using. Refused to provide a quote except from through tradesperson with account. Contacted tradesperson (Who had been suggested by Howden’s at my request) who provided a quote. Quote seemed high but was told it was completely normal by fitter. Subsequently, asked another fitter to get a quote which Howdens would not provide. Assumed quality might be slightly higher for the price but was completely disappointed on this front. Low quality white goods, very poor-quality hinges and doors, finishes OK but compared to Wren or other higher end kitchen providers roughly three times the price (Several items checked and all around three times the cost of other providers) however the quality was on the lower end. Certainly not noticeably improved from B&Q off the shelf items. In relation to other providers, I felt the consultation was extremely poor. Design left several items out, completely overlooked where some units were to be placed and did not replace washer/dryer. Measurements were accurate. Finished product looked good but other than cosmetically an inferior product and totally non-competitive on price. If you do decide to go with Howdens or any other provider for that matter, you must get a quote from another provider. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time on this occasion. Many providers are not transparent about their prices and therefore I can only assume it is because the agent is making them up.

   Avoid Howdens Mansfield Giles at Howdens Mansfield, over sold me there kitchen. he did not bother to check safety regulations or everything he was selling was compatible, just kept loading the bill. ? I trusted that he knew what he was doing , and Howdens was a trustworthy company.. No Not the case. the ovens was to big for there units, when asked what to do, they did not know and sent me rails that did not fit, the sink did not fit to there cut out design , when asked why, he said if you don't fit the tap bracket under the top, it will fit.? this is not to manufacture's specification so is not covered under warranty, what are doing? . The hob supplied by Howdens !! this was fitted following the instructions, when a gas engineer came to connect, he said it was not gas safe so could not sign it off, he then went on to fill a report stating the tops Howdens have sold me (compact laminate ) was to thin and to short to be gas safe. this was also in the instruction manual, so why are Howdens selling dangerous kitchen combinations? I have reported this to head office and local Mansfield branch, and at first the manager helped, realizing after his own fitter came to see me (two weeks later) he said they are not fit for purpose. I was promised a call from manager , area manager and manager from head office. But all have failed to contacted me at all, Only Stephanie at head office tried to get a handle on it, but with out the right knowledge, experience and support she also has gone silent. Giles at Howdens came back to my house for a third time, and said there is nothing wrong and if it was down to him, he would not be giving any refunds !!! I have 3 small children 4 ,6 and 10 . how can any parent be ok with a Howdens kitchen Not gas safe !!!!! its been three months so far , still being ignored . when you think kitchen , DO NOT THINK HOWDENS MANSFIELD.

   Spoke to Gary, very unhelpful, put the phone down on a customer. He is suppose to be the manager, didn’t seem to know about how long the products are guaranteed for. A lot of waffle with no content. Very unprofessional. Reluctant to give details about his boss. Why would that be I ask???? I would not recommend. Surprised he is the manager, knew very little.
