Came across this place on google and decided to stop in out the rain to get some work done. Really cute vibe in here, great "coffee vibes" lighting and honestly the coffee is amazing. Been to a fair few places as I travel the country and this coffee was spot on! Will deffo be back here when I'm around in Birmingham.
Excellent place, the quality of the coffee never changes. I think it's the best in the Kingdom, without exaggerating. Also, the people in charge of the place are extremely wonderful and very kind.
coffees are great. the barista said he puts the same amount of shots in a large cappuccino than in a regular which is weird. also i filled the stamp card and ordered my usual coffee (extra shot and syrup) and was told i’d have to pay for the extra shot and syrup. Not quite in the spirit of a “free” coffee after purchasing so many and being a regular customer.
The coffee, cakes, and food are always great. I’ve been a customer here for years, ever since the place opened, and always enjoyed it and thought highly of it. However, over the last few months, the current staff seems to have a chip on their shoulder every time we go in. Between the looks of disgust / looking up and down at us, and the short answers, the place is slowly becoming sour due to the staff’s behaviour.
Corrections added; I have been frequenting this establishment for about Three months now usually for a coffee and if the bakery items look tempting a slice of cake, I popped into the Steam Room today at about 14:15 and ordered a Flat White and a Raspberry and Matcha Blondie which looked amazing, the young person serving duely lifted the glass Closhe and chose the smallest and lacklustre piece with no Rasberry or Matcha in sight, I asked the young person if they were the same cake as it looked like an end piece of Sponge cake, they replied "its from the same batch"! The young person looked at me incredulous that I had asked if it was the same cake, they reluctantly asked if I wanted to change it but was shocked that this person thought it ok to offer an end piece of sponge the only piece that looked like this for £3.50 a slice!! Needless to say I left it and will not be frequenting this establishment in the future.
The drinks and cakes we had were very tasty. Good quality and prices. Nice coffee made carefully with a tasteful coffee variety. The space needs some more attention, but I definitely recommend a visit for espresso and a vgn cinnamon bun.
I had come here to wait for someone I was meeting and in the end left as the staff were so unhappy to be here and didn't even give a small smile when I said thank you for my drink and overall they seem bored to be working here so much so they must make it a problem for their customers, furthermore the atmosphere was rather uncomfortable upon entering as almost none of the family's or groups of people were talking and also seemed to feel this displeasure these people had from working here. BUT the coffee is nice.
Lovely cafe serving great coffee and cakes. The carrot cake was delicious. Pleasant, relaxed vibe with a diverse clientele and unpretentious but stylish interior. We really liked the music too. Coming back for Collage Club next week!
I love this dog and child/baby friendly cafe, with high chairs and water bowls (and dog treats). This is an excellent place to come, no matter your situation, the staff are always accommodating, and friendly. Coffee is fresh and delicious. I have bought freshly ground coffee beans for my partner and he thoroughly enjoyed. Cakes are always tasty and they usually have a gluten free or vegan one too. The vegan chocolate cake ones, oh my are yummy. I personally think its more chocolatey and tastier than the normal non vegan chocolate cake. They have various teas and also hot chocolate which are worth a visit too. Baby changing facilities available. A little small but it is well kitted out. *The only down side it that they are not open in the evenings, as this would be a perfect little outing for the whole family.
the coffee was above average, the staffs were super kind. should note that they don’t do sandwiches anymore (asked and told they stopped serving it two years ago, but it is hard to adjust reviews on the Google map so there are still photos of nice looking brunch menus..)
