Lovely decor and beautiful setting if you get chance to sit in the conservatory. Food was really nice and served all together. Only complaint is that our conversation was interrupted each time the waitress delivered something to the table, instead of that discreet 5 star service, but perfect other than that!
Very disappointing afternoon tea. Wouldn’t return. The good: the savoury food was lovely. The scones were also great. The ok: sweets were photogenic but some were sickeningly sweet The bad: no tea was served and it was never explained to us if they would bring it or if we had to ask for it. Anyway, when we finally got it we were so disappointed that it was served in awful scorching hot cheap cafe metal tea pots. We were also given coffee cups for tea. (Please give tea cups with tea. And serve your tea in china pots.) Then the tea itself was just a generic tea bag. What’s that about? Expected at least a descent quality tea bag. Took my foreign friend to experience afternoon tea and I was so embarrassed by this service.
We decided to stop off for a bite to eat. Overall, the service was good and considering how busy it was, we were served promptly. The 'festive' menu was a bit on the limited side and so we ordered the turkey sandwich which in all honesty, was a little bit dry. Pricing was a little bit high. All in all, a pleasant experience!
What a lovely place. Nice food and coffee. Try to get a table in the orangery area. You can see the beautiful river view (River Ouse) and marina view. Be honest it’s a bit pricey, but that’s what you pay for. The view. It’s dog friendly cafe, but the orangery area is guests only.
We had a really lovely meal, remembering my father-in-law on what would have been his birthday. The food was amazing, and we were really looked after well by the staff. All 3 courses were delicious.
Always a pleasant experience. Waterfront table for 4 which was fab but the chair in the back corner was wedged in so tightly 3 out of 4 in the party could not get into that seat. As it was situated on a thoroughfare it wasn't really an option to pull the table out further. All the food was delicious and the fish platter is fantastic and enough for 3 for lunch. Service let us down slightly as on 3 occasions I had to walk over to a waitress for service and the bill. All minor issues, would highly recommend a visit.
Visited on Thursday 27.10.22 with relatives and their dog who were on holiday from the South of England. All welcomed and enjoyed a delicious lunch in pleasant surroundings. Staff were all lovely and my relatives have marked this venue as a ' must go to' for their next visit. My recommendation to them went down well - only thing I didn't get right was the weather!!!! Can't win them all. Looking forward to the new riverside outlook dining area being in operation.
A nice enough place; breakfast is good and so is the Sunday lunch - minimum 2 courses from memory. There are highchairs available and good facilities with parking at the front of the building. It's very nice inside, having recently been done up.
Beautiful marina with great facilities. The staff upstairs are super helpful and the guys in the Cafe are attentive. Cracking breakfast to start us off for the day. Will be going back and looking forward to sampling the lunch menu.
Had lunch here. The food was nice, not outstanding but the service wasn't very good. Took a long time to get the staffs attention, some of them appeared very disinterested. One of our party is vegan and there is no option for them to have a pudding or cake which was very disappointing.
