   the other customers made jokes about food being from a microwave, later realised they weren’t joking- the food was horrendous, still cold and uncooked. the staff who served us was very unfriendly, barely said 2 words and wasn’t at all helpful. there was another member of staff who was much friendlier however. when we walked in we felt uncomfortable as if everyone in there was judging us for being there. they may all be locals who come everyday but it’s unnecessary to make paying customers feel uncomfortable.

   I went to the fireworks event last night, 2 adults & 2 children. Starting with the drinks, I had the same 3 drinks each time but was charged a different price, regular customers just jumping in the queue and being served first. The fireworks were actually amazing but didn’t start until around 8.15-8.20 and finished around 9pm - the bit that ruined the night was two bar ladies shouting everyone with kids get out now, you must leave - no prior warning, no notice of kids having to leave when booking tickets!! I’ll be honest it was rude and abrupt, a warning should have been given if kids had to leave @9pm. It wasn’t just me who felt this was numerous people complained!! We were basically shoved out the door after a paid event!! Shocking to be honest wouldn’t return

   Went here to play bowls,nice bunch of bowlers. Didn't eat here so can't comment on the food,nice enough pub basic selection of beers no real ales. Decent service at bar and decent basic beer. If you are local get yourself down here and join the bowls club.

   Gig house gives false impression of what's inside. On Sunday evening almost all tables was occupied by regulars. There is separate entry for private party/tables (not sure if that space is used for not private events). Fast service.

   I was visiting and came into the pub for dinner, it was a great experience mainly thanks to Grant, who helped me decide what to order, and just made me feel at home, I ended up going with the steak thanks to his recommendation and I couldn't be more happy with how it came out he was a phenomenal cook and really took the time to make sure it was how I liked it, extremely friendly and professional.

   Me and my family came for a meal here last week and the food was brilliant! There was alot of us and food came out hot and quick and cooked to perfection by the lovely chef Grant who went out of his way for us to ensure we were all happy! Great management and lovely family environment Also a great night on a Thursday for bingo!

   Visited this pub wanting a nice atmosphere and a good meal. Ordered a kids' meal, a chicken curry, and two of the classic hunters chickens. Food came after about 10 minutes' wait and was reasonable quick for the food prepared. Once received, the naan bread was as solid as a bullet, and we asked for another one, even though we hate to complain. The hunters chickens were dry and unflavoured, and the kids' meal was a joke. The pizza looks like something you wouldn't even give to the homeless. After such a bad food experience, we will not be visiting again, and if you are reading this, I would recommend you visit somewhere else, such as the Tyburn.

   Here is some pictures from bank holiday Monday at the raven we had a lovely day and they had food on, music playing and loads of fun stuff for the kids to do.
