   The ladies running the Cafe where delightful, warm and inviting. Service with a smile. The food was exemplary. The meat pie was full of chicken and the scone was to die for. We are definitely going back for a full on meal before we leave the Pontefract area.

   It would have been nice to get some thing to eat,but didn't realise that they shut everything down before 3pm. We got there at 2.46pm. To be told that the appliances had been turned off, we could have a coffee and a sandwich . That was fine, but we would have liked something hot and tasty.

   Lovely market hall needs more shops adding as some units are empty but it is nice to see that there are a few established units that have stayed and are doing well would like to see more people visit the market as it has a lot of history within it

   Pontefract market used to be quite big. But like everything with on line shopping etc it had got smaller. The inside market is great always brings back memories of when I was a kid. There are lots of new shops in there now, all the people that rent them are always friendly and helpful.
