We were a group of four and I really enjoyed my meal. One of our party had some issues and the staff handled it very professionally. The pub itself is a beautiful building and the overall experience was pleasant.

Amazing customer service. My friend was unwell in the ladies toilet and the staff were absolutely wonderful and took no chances. They checked she was safe and that she knew us before letting her come out of the toilet and they were so kind once she was out. Special thanks to Olly for being amazing !

I would definitely recommend staying here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room I stayed in was spacious, comfortable and had an overall nice vibe. The prices are quite affordable and the place is rustic and quaint. The location is just off central as its only a short walk to the city centre. In all, a positive experience.

Beautiful building & very friendly staff! We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel, the room and the bathrooms were clean and nice. There was a kettle with tea and coffee in our room aswell, which we enjoyed :) The only downside was the noise of the pub, fortunately we brought earplugs, so we got that sorted, but be prepared for it, as you might overlook it when booking!

Always loved the old crown. Been here several times with friends, colleagues and family. Vibe is always chilled, laid back and friendly. Beers nice, crisp and a good variety. Nothing wrong with it whatsoever until one time I ordered the 1368 sharer platter for 4. On the website, it says: A feast for 4 people- chicken wings, Torpedo Prawns, Lamb Fritters, Hummus, Grilled Pitta, Truffle Fries What was promised as a feast felt more like an assault on my arteries, with nearly every item deep fried. The chicken wings had the texture of sawdust, and the 'prawns' were mysteriously replaced by whitebait that carried a distinctly potent, fishy aroma. The only redeeming features—the pitta and fries—hardly justify the £30 price tag. Save your money and visit the chippy next door; your taste buds and wallet will thank you It’s great If you’re here for drinks, and maybe Sunday roast. Definitely give the platter a miss.

Excellent atmosphere in covered outdoor area with regular DJ takeovers, plus live band performing when I arrived out back. Inside its busy but quick turnaround at bar. Staff excellent, lovely demeanor and good customers, friendly vibe. Good selection of local ales and Intl lagers, good cocktail selection too!

My partner and myself stayed here two nights during the middle of the week. We immediately loved the style of the room with the old beams and four poster bed. We were extremely grateful for the heating being on all evening as it was very cold outside! Also the kettle for making our own tea was a great bonus. The bathrooms are not far from the room and the shower was powerful and got lovely and hot. I needed more than one pillow but I forgot to ask. Apart from that, it was very comfortable and we didn't experience any noise. A really lovely stay, thank you!

Warm welcome at an amazing historic building in the heart of Birmingham, conveniently situated for the coach station. At present there is building work everywhere, but the pub is welcoming, serves great food and has lovely rooms for a good value stay over. It is a historic building so there is little soundproofing, and music is played in the pub until closing. Lovely staff and a great atmosphere.

Had our staff Xmas do here after being let down by another place. The team are total legends managing to squeeze us in for food also! Could not believe our luck and the thank god we did pop in. The food was delicious and well worth the budget friendly cost charged. We have decided we will likely go back next year because of the service and food!

We went on a Tuesday night, 4 of us, and had a great meal. 2 had fish and chips and 2 burgers. I would highly recommend the fish and chips, possibly the best I've ever had. The thicker chips and thinner burger chips were all very good and not frozen ones. The service was a bit haphazard with customers at 3 different tables getting their food at varying times. I should imagine that in the summer it's even better as they have an open courtyard as well. Well worth a visit!
