Avoid! Security guard followed me out of the store accusing me of stealing even after providing my receipt, then proceeded to follow me around the bentalls centre, all the way through to marks and Spencer’s and then up into Eden hall car park making threats and verbally abusing me and my friend. reported to Zara who have shown no interest and have even accused me of lying about the situation have now contacted the police in order to sort out the situation

Looking for a specific hat for my daughter; Suzanna was extremely helpful by going above and beyond. Firstly went to check the back, but could not find. She then returned to find out if we could locate the reference number. Once found, she went back to check the stock and managed to find the hat I was after. I feel this level of service is exceptional as after the first time going to check, most would give bad news and give up, however, I really felt that Suzanna wanted to find this hat for me, so I left the store feeling compelled to write this review :)

My mom, my brother’s wife, their baby, and I went to Zara summer this year to shop. When my brother’s wife and I were in the fitting room, my mom, trying to soothe the baby who woke up crying, wanted to step outside with the stroller so as not to disturb people. As she was leaving, the security detectors for unpaid items started beeping. My mom had no idea there were slippers in the stroller. We explained the situation to the guard, and he seemed to understand, but said that if it happened again, he would have to call the police. We apologized, and everything seemed fine. Later, when my brother’s wife and I went to pay for the items at the checkout, the cashier did not scan one of the sweaters she had placed on the counter—he just threw it straight into the bag. As a result, the sweater wasn’t on the receipt, meaning it hadn’t been paid for (and she didn’t notice this because, honestly, who would expect something like that to happen?). When we left the store a second time, the security detectors went off again. They started checking our things, but didn’t even look at mine, even though I was walking out right alongside them—so it was obvious they thought the issue was only with my brother’s wife. We tried to explain, but nobody wanted to listen. We asked them to check the security cameras (which is a normal request, since we were confident we were right), but they ignored us. When the manager came, we explained again and asked her to review the cameras, but she also ignored us and simply offered: “You can just pay for this item and that’s it.” So, we ended up standing there for 30 minutes just to be treated like thieves, and in the end they brushed it off with: “Just pay for the sweater.” I think they realized it was their mistake, but still, the service in this Zara was awful, and we will never come back. Thank you for ruining our day. P.S. While we were there, I also saw two other women being asked to take things out of their bags because the detectors went off on them too. So clearly, this problem wasn’t just with us. Maybe it’s something the store should really think about.

We all know Zara staff are notorious for being slow and rude but this store really takes the prize!! Staff are so rude and dismissive! It's Zara so people will return but avoid this store if possible

Absolutely awful customer service. Can I give 0 stars? The manager at zara kingston branch told me it was the company policy not to detach the alarm of any items bought online and sent to customers with an alarm tag. She actually said ‘well we would need to check the cctv to check you didn’t pick the item up in the store’. I said ok, you can check but she didn’t have enough time she said. I had the receipt as proof of purchase and she didn’t even have the item in stock in the shop!!! I put a formal complaint with Zara customer service and they confirmed there was no reason why the tag could not be taken out and have asked me to go back to the shop. Of course all you get us a 'We are sorry this has happened'. No reimbursement of delivery fee or compensation for having to go into kingston snd pay for parking! Oh I really hope I meet the same manager tomorrow…

So disappointed by my treatment in store. I wanted to exchange 2 x children’s t-shirts in perfect condition with the receipt that i had bought in Dec as a Christmas present but are the wrong size. I was out of the return/exchange policy date, but there was no flexibility at all and no politeness. What a waste! I won’t shop here again. Where has common sense gone? Mary
