“I went to this place in July to try on a shirt and I was served by a horrible woman, I think she was the manager from what I gathered as she was talking down to her colleagues etc. I was asking about the returns policy because I wanted to see how it would like with my suit at home and she said I couldn’t return it? So I left the shirt and she was so rude about it, to the point where she started ignoring me! then thought ahhh I won’t go back there again but then gave it another try on Friday just gone as I was in a last minute panic so it was my last resort and Martin was a godsend, he was so accommodating, he essentially created a fashion montage for me and my two friends which really made the whole experience so fun! He could see I was struggling with making a decision and kept the store open for a bit longer just so I didn’t feel under pressure. I think all stores need a Martin, he turned a negative experience into such a positive one! Managed to get my tux in time, the store managed to send it for alterations and get it back to us a day earlier than expected!”

“Had great customer service today from an employee I didn't catch the name of, but she gave me some great advice about wicking thermal base layers for a caving trip. I was on a tight budget and torn between two options she picked for me, she was very reassuring and gave me time to think about it which I really appreciated. Alvaro was very friendly and helpful as well, I'd definitely go back here in the future”

“Went in to get a suit and after a brief discussion of what I wanted the gentleman went and fetched a suit without measuring me or asking my size. It was nearly a perfect fit, just needed the leg length taking up a little bit. Polite, attentive, and very professional. Wonderful customer service.”

“Went into Hotters at Kingston on Thames on Saturday 23rd November 2024 and was greeted by a really wonderful young lady called Imogen. I explained how I suffer with swollen feet and ankles and am unable to wear the many pairs of hotter shoes and boots I own. She listened to my needs and went above and beyond in helping me. She was empathic, caring, genuine and nothing was too much trouble. This member of staff is an absolute credit to Hotters, the service and trouble she took was exemplary. She sold me 1 pair of boots and I also ordered another pair in black. My feet aren't cold, I'm comfortable and I had a very touching experience with an absolutely amazing member of staff. “Came in to see a suit I’d seen online and to seek some advice. The wonderful Amy was quick to see me and answered all my questions, gave me some great advice and gave me so many options to try on. I didn’t buy anything but the care and attention she gave to helping me out in finding the right colour, fit and style really left a mark on me - she was so lovely, polite and helpful the entire time even after I’d expressed I wasn’t buying on the day. When I do buy she’ll be the first person I speak to! Thank you Amy!”

“The store is a very well organised to begin with. The sections of the shoes and sandals and casual wear are nicely presented and there is considerable variety of quality options. The office has its own line of shoes also which are of great quality and I bought one pair for formal wear and the quality and manufacture of the product is excellent and I can say that with some credibility because I have many pairs of very good quality formal wear shoes. The staff is very helpful and kind. The store assistants are very efficient despite of it being very busy all the time. Over all I am very happy and I recommend it.”

They have both previously worn Docs and had a lot of information about the fit/sizing and how to break them in comfortably.
