   Went to the New Malden store. There was a long queue waiting to pay and they had one till open. They also have one staff member who just stands and asks if you’re paying by card. If so she point to one of the three self serve tills that are clearly marked Card! Firstly Matalaan your customers are not stupid, they can find these tills perfectly well by themselves and secondly she would be better off at a till serving that long queue!

   Disappointing experience. Having raced there to make it before closing time, I was refused access before 7pm, even when explaining exactly what I wanted for a child’s present which I knew they had in stock. I honestly would have understood if staff were rushed off their feet preparing shelves for the next day but a number of staff were seemingly just staring down the doors making sure no one entered ensuring they could start their Friday evening in a timely manner. At the very least opening hours need amending online.

   Getting to Matalan is a borring bus ride on 2 buses from where I live! I choose 15 items of clothing in Matalan not one look good...why can't clothes shops use cotton in their Spring/summer/ Holiday clothes instead of cheap viscose!/polyester Materials! Who wants to go to a hot country wearing revolting cheap materials that make u feel uncomfortable'!'

   Store quite big offering good range of fashion for all, as well as household/home items, seasonal goods, footwear. Free parking available in front of store. Self service booths on right hand side with device to detach security tags. Had to visit store after ordering online order, only to find one item had security tag which had not been removed, prior to delivering to me (photo included).
