   Just had Christmas Day dinner here and to say it was a fiasco is an understatement. The starter course came quite quickly but then we waited an hour for the mediocre main course. When I asked a waitress about the delay she told me not to show attitude. Avoid this dump at all costs!

   Great Sunday lunch. Great choice for vegetarians aswell and excellent value for money. Kids meal good size, freshly cooked veg and delicious yorkshire puddings. Lovely friendly welcome and great ambiance. We will definitely be back

   A lovely warm friendly welcome from the team and landlady. Any request was never too much trouble. Comfortable atmosphere. A good range of drinks for all tastes. Food was fresh, well made and tasty. Didn’t have to wait long for food to be brought to the table. A great experience for a first visit. Will definitely return

   Had a lovely meal yesterday. It was my birthday and Christina bought me a coffee which was so kind.. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We all enjoyed our food very much and our little dog enjoyed her biscuits. Will definitely make it our regular. We'll done Christina xx

   Great to see this pub starting to return to its former glory, your choice of the new Landlady is excellent- she has the character and personality to make this more than a success, particularly when the food offer returns, and I would suggest not just standard Marstons offerings but also some "Chefs Specials" . The bar staff I met on my short visit were excellent and have the the character to not just make this when combined with the Landlady not only a great local, but a destination pub. - I will return soon and many times thereafter.

   This is one of our favourite pubs, it's always had a welcoming atmosphere so when the Queen died where else would I have taken my wife to raise a glass to her majesty and also enjoy some lunch however although the staff were lovely - the food was extremely disappointing. I really hope the part time flexible cook that you're advertising to hire can actually cook unlike the one you have. The bacon on the hunters chicken was overdone to say the least you may as well have served chicken with bacon on the side. And it all tasted like it had been blitzed in the microwave. Sorry it guts me to write such a bad review but we definitely won't be eating there again in a hurry.

   Food was extremely delicious & cooked spot on. For my first visit here , I am well impressed and will definitely come again. The pub is well layed out with entertainment for the adults and children. And my personal favourite is that there are TV's at a select ammount of the tables, ideal for entertaining the children or the big kids (the eldest male of the family lol)... Staff were very polite and food was produced in a very timely manner and piping hot, straight from the kitchen and no waiting about. Highly recommended this place.
