I want to be absolutely clear that my complaint is directed at one staff member only. The store itself has never been the issue. My recent experience with an employee named James, however, was serious enough that it needs immediate management attention. Before I approached the counter, the manager had already approved a specific price for my order. Despite this, James behaved as if he had the authority to override that decision. Instead of following his manager’s clear instruction, he stalled the process, openly questioned what had already been agreed, and left me standing unnecessarily for an extended period. His behaviour throughout the interaction was disrespectful, unnecessarily confrontational, and outright unprofessional. He raised his voice, spoke to me in an accusatory tone, and even called me a “chancer.” This wasn’t just rude—it was completely out of line for someone representing the store. What stood out most was how he carried himself. Rather than demonstrating confidence or competence, his attitude came across as someone trying far too hard to assert authority he simply doesn’t have. Instead of resolving a straightforward situation, he escalated it through hostility, defensiveness, and a refusal to show even basic customer courtesy. The result was an interaction that felt less like a customer service issue and more like an employee deliberately creating conflict. This was not an isolated misunderstanding. It was a serious lapse in professionalism, judgement, and respect—toward both the customer and the manager who had already made the decision. I am submitting this review because behaviour like this directly harms the store’s reputation and absolutely should not go unnoticed. I strongly urge management to address this matter, as no customer should be subjected to the kind of treatment I experienced.
You will find good prices here on loads of Nike products, however the atmosphere is not there. The security guards follow you based on whether you’re a teenager , and they think they are discreet whilst doing it but it’s hard not to notice a Hi-vis peeking around every aisle you go in. It is a cold and uninviting store.
Just want to say a massive thank you to the girl on the till today. Got my daughter some new trainers and she double checked that I had the right size for her as theyre usa displayed sizes. Thank you.

The store sells used shoes as new. I do not recommend it to anyone!
Nice and new store, I hope it had more options, but still quite a few. Customer service could be a little more helpful, they didn't seem to care too much for customers around the store. I wasn't asked once if I needed anything - and I did.
Visited edge lane store 2nd Dec asked the young man who was having a conversation with another assistant by the counter as you walk in if they sold adidas Mens boxer shorts and the reply was have a look around this is a Nike store in a very sarcastic tone, I don’t visit sports shops as a rule being of a certain age I do think his attitude was uncalled for and will think twice about visiting this store.
