Not been here for a good few years, we had the Sunday lunch, tbh I'm not a big meat eater, all the veg was nicely cooked and tasted good, gravy was also good. We had the cheesecake for dessert, which I believe to be homemade and was extremely good, which I can definitely recommend.
We popped in here for a drink and witnessed beautiful food being served on a Sunday. So much so we've booked a table for next Sunday. The atmosphere is lovely they show sport on TV's which is low in volume. Lots of people but not noisy. Staff very accommodating. You need to check out this hidden gem. We went back here on Sunday 12th October 2025 to sample the Sunday lunch. What can I say.. it was absolutely the best food, and well presented. We thoroughly enjoyed it, served by lovely people. We'll definitely be going back for more.
Visited today after being recommended by another local business. The staff went out of their way to provide a great service, sorting my vegetarian wife out with a roast dinner (pre-book if you want non-meat-fat roasties). We had a really good meal, at an amazing prize and will definitely be returning! Big plus for us was that its dog friendly!!
My partner now husband had our Wedding Reception here. Danny and Emma were more than accommodating to us. The Buffett made by Emma which was amazing as always when I’ve been to other events by them and I had lots of comments on how lovely everything was by guests. We had a fantastic evening also made special by the DJ Craig Heath who they recommended to us and would highly recommend again. Thank you to Dan and your excellent team.
Came in for a Sunday roast this week, 4 of us last minute and all really enjoyed the food.. great value for money, all fresh veg and plenty of meat. Lovely staff really welcoming! We will definitely be back. Great traditional pub, football on the tv, lovely canal side garden and great food and staff. Thank you
Another one of my locals....only tend to visit in the summer on a nice day and sit outside by the canal...beers good here to.

Great pub where people and dogs are welcome alike. I've been past many times but this was my first visit, the staff were very friendly and helpful, even offering and fetching water for the dogs with no hinting or mentioning. The pints were first class and perfect on the day again. I'd 100% visit again and recommend it to others to try
