Extremely busy pub with helpful and polite staff. Don't try the food.

Food is standard Wetherspoons food. Can’t beat it. But oh my days is the service dire. 30 minute wait for food turned into over an hour with no updates or anything. Very rude staff. 2 staff members were blunt and snappy for no reason at all. Very moody, ruins the atmosphere. Avión in Aldridge is a lot better.

The place itself is lovely – I understand it used to be a cinema, which is such a shame it isn’t anymore. Unfortunately, the food is terrible, much like at other Wetherspoon locations: cheap meat that tastes as if it was cut and never washed, soggy mushrooms, rubbery eggs, and no brown bread available (“We only do white!” was the staff’s reply). The coffee is better than it used to be, and the service is welcoming, which I appreciated. I also like that the venue seems to support the younger community. The toilets are very clean, but the garden area and the outside tables look like they haven’t been cleaned for ages – which is especially disappointing in summertime. It was my first time going in, as I’ve usually avoided it – often after noon there are loads of drunk people at the door, which put me off.

This was a great pub for dinner, with a large two-floor theatre setting! The walls are smoothly styled and the lighting gives off heavy brightness, counter is well-presented too. I had the signature wrap with chips, although the cutlery was a bit dirty as you can see. Food was nice enough though and my pint of Leffe's was solid, plenty of seating available as well.

Vegetarian breakfast . How can you screw up frying an egg not once but twice resulting what looks like the plastic rubber eggs you find in a childs toy kitchen. Would of delivered the feedback personally should anyone of bothered to do do a check back. Photos are of how food was served I hadn't touched them

I've noticed on numerous occasions members of staff just taking plates and glasses away but not cleaning the tables... Today i decided to wipe over ours with a baby wipe on arrival and this is the result... I have spoken to members of staff on more than one occasion about their cleanliness and hygiene, on one occasion I had to take the spray bottle from the member of staff to clean the table myself as she literally just flicked the cloth over our table when I asked for it to be cleaned, They're clearly don't care about hygiene, If this is what their tables are like, I dread to think what they're kitchen is like. I don't want to be sitting at a table where a child has probably been picking their nose and wiping it on the table, nor do I want my kids picking up germs. Absolutely disgusting. SORT IT OUT.

Met up with friends for breakfast. We chose various options from their breakfast menu. All of which turned out to be very tasty and fairly priced. We also made the most of as many "free" refills on your tea or coffee as you want. "Buy one and refill your cup as many times as you want" This is a venue that we will definitely l be returning to !

Lovely little pub! Well done out. Ate here for the first time on Friday and was not disappointed! Great as usual for wetherspoons! Service was so quick. Food came out very quickly. Chicken pasta Alfredo was gorgeous as always, scampi and chips lovely and chicken jalfrezi was really tasty. Would come back to eat again. Drinks are always great too. Lively on a Friday night.

Although I previously rated this as 5 star I have amended it to 3 we visited on Saturday night and while the staff were as friendly as ever the food is very different I ordered 8oz steak and chips costing £10.71 with a pint of larger, as you can see from the photo I had 13 yes 13 chips and a steak that I could have brought for £3 at any shop. Will not be ordering food here again.

Food and coffee is great, the hospitality was lovely, ordered incorrectly and they amended straight away. Staff make you feel welcome. Inside is big plenty of tables. Ali ( staff) was on hand and made our day with her great service. Outdoor area also on site but no on site parking.
