   I have many complaints on the Consulate General of Iraq. I recently went here as a Kurd. All of my complaints are towards the Kurdish workers that work there. They have no respect for me as if talking to an animal. However, when talking to the Arabs they respect them highly. When talking to the Arab women that also go there to sort their problems out they soften tone and act as if they are queens. I go for the same reasons but get treated as if I have killed their families. Even their opening times go against all the other consulates in the UK. Whoever wants to come here I’ll give you an advice go to the Arabs that work there especially one called Ahmed as he’s very respectful and gets everything done. This time I’m only giving a warning to the Kurds that work there but next time, Wallahi I will make sure to include all of your names and how disrespectful you are. I hope you will learn from this and respect everyone the same. If you can’t respect people don’t work there simple as that.

   Excellent service. I went to cancel a power of attorney document on Monday 20th of October and I was really impressed with the service. The Deputy consul Mr Youssef is a rare Iraqi civilised gentleman ; he was friendly , know what needs to be done , competent and professional. I went again on Friday 24th October for simple correction and thankfully Mr Youssef used his excellent leadership to complete the document with fairness and no further trouble therefore he delivered the required standard service to a genuine, decent polite and a very aware customer. The gentleman at the reception's desk was very welcoming and helpful .Consulate staff were pleasant. My thanks to the consulate staff in Manchester who performed their duties sincerely helping decent authentic expatriates . Thank you

   I was initially worried before going to complete my newborn twins’ birth certificates and travel documents, but the experience turned out far better than expected. The staff were very professional and polite. The Kurdish lady at the front desk was especially helpful, and Mr. Qasim, Nawar, and Hussein showed great care and assistance from the moment I arrived until everything was completed. The only downside is that payments are still accepted in cash only, I hope they introduce card payments soon.

   Once again, I would like to extend my sincere thanks, gratitude and appreciation to all the staff at the Iraqi Consulate in Manchester except for the receptionist who was trying to obstruct the processing of the application on the day, the 16th of December. (This was exactly the opposite of the receptionist I met on my first visit to the Consulate on September 30th of this year). They facilitated the correction of some simple errors that occurred in the agency transaction. They were due to my failure to review it, despite the fact that the responsible employee asked me to review it twice.    My Experience at the Consulate You are greeted with a big smile from Istath Ziaad who is always helpful, efficient and very knowledgeable. My special thanks to consul general Istath Nawar and consul Istath Abdulah who were both very kind and helpful. I can only describe both as true Gentlemen. Everyone who assisted me was so polite, whilst waiting for documents etc. I observed that all staff at the Consulate dealing with other visitors were very polite and helpful. The overall environment at the consulate was calm, friendly and welcoming. Everyone at the consulate is credit to Iraq and all deserve five stars. My partner (who is British) attended the consulate with me on all occasions and she was amazed at the way we were received from the very first visit. Thank you all for your help and support.
