Went in for first time today. Sandwich was straight up delicious. Guy who served me was polite. Ā£5 for the sandwich was totally worth it. Will be back.
A famous saying says: "Good, quick, cheap: pick two." Bakery 164 manages to hit all three. Good: quality ingredients, skillfully composed, with variety added by a rotating sandwhich of the day. Quick: Take your sandwhich as-is and be in and out in under a minute, or get it toasted at a slight delay. Cheap: Most sandwiches cost a 5er or less. You can get something cheaper at Gregg's, but nowhere near the same quality, and the prices are very competitive compared to other options on this busy street.
Been here a couple of time now. Sandwiches have been good on both occasions and the coffee today was really good. Seem a busy but friendly spot and they were offering a sample of free bread which was delicious. Sorry to any later customers but I had to try a second just to be sure :)
Their bread is good quality and homemade. The filling could be better. They have wide range of fillings to choose which us brilliant! They charge more for having the sandwich toasted. Coffee is affordable and ok
I have literally traveled from abroad for these sandwiches. Amazing ingredients, so fresh and just insanely delicious. And the coffee is also amazing!
Really nice place which had quick service. You can pay on card but there are no toilets. Sandwich was amazing and so was the bread. Salted caramel brownie was out of this planet! Will definitely be going back. The "wait" for our sandwich to be toasted was about 2-3 minutes.
I have no complaints. Good food at a great price. I couldn't ask for more. The one thing that's slightly annoying is the extra charge for toasting the sandwiches, but that barely affects the score, especially considering it's already so cheap.
BEST SANDWICHES EVER IN THE WORLD. One of the best thing around Leeds Uni. Any, anything from them are just amazing. It is so fulfilling and tasty. Good selection with cheap price (considering the portion!!). You can easily be amazed and satisfied by their sandwiches. During the peak time there are so many students. If you go later in the day basically there is nothing left!! Fresh bakery every day! OMG I will love their sandwiches forever.
