We came here through a recommendation from a friend at work and were really pleased we gave it a go! I had the regular carvery and my hubby had the gobbler burger. We normally go to Toby if we want a carvery so I wasn’t expecting much however it was lovely. Even at 2pm it was all really hot. The beef and pork I had were extremely well cooked and tender and there was an excellent choice of veg which was cooked perfectly and not mushy or crunchy. There were 4 gravy’s to choose from including a veggie option and I tried the onion one which was very tasty! The plain one did lack a bit of flavour but was still ok. The burger looked home cooked and my hubby enjoyed it a lot. He opted for the chips which were standard thick cut which were ok. Other plates of food also looked really nice and there’s loads of choice. The staff were welcoming and the decor was very nice. It was also clean despite being very busy for a weekday. There’s areas for children to play and tables outside which I’m sure are good for the summer. The only reason for the 4 star was that we thought the burger might come with fries and the plain gravy could’ve done with a bit more flavour. But overall it was a great experience and we would definitely go back. Excellent portions and very good value for money. Recommend!

The Cobbler is more of a restaurant that sells beer than a pub that sells food. There is a range beers lager and cider but unfortunately no hand-pulled cask conditioned real ales. The food was excellent, the belly pork was perfect. There is no pool table or dart board but there are TVs showing Sports. There is outside seating area a large covered area and children's playground. Dogs are not allowed in the pub.

First visit for drinks then returned for dinner. The superb range of dishes on the menu made it hard to choose. My partner went for duck breast, while I had chicken in a mushroom and brandy sauce. Both meals were delicious. Drinks were well priced and the staff were first class. Friendly, helpful and efficient. The whole ambience of the place is chilled and relaxed with good music and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended.

We haven't been in for a long time and don't know why !! Very quick service and friendly staff along with a massive menu to choose from also a fully carvery. We had planned to get desserts too but honestly the starter and mains were so big we just had no room left !

First time visiting and will definitely be back. Lots of choice on the menu. Not too expensive either

Amazingly huge choice of dishes on the menu! I had fish & chips which were great. My partner had meatballs which were even better! Proper family run restaurant with a nice little play area for the kids & some music playing as you ate. Looking forward to going back for the carvery!

Absolutely banging service, food and location. Very very keenly priced, value for money. Perfectly placed, its got something for everyone. The decor, music and atmosphere is excellent. I had the 12oz steak, staying locally I looked up this place online and I was not disappointed. Annie, the blonde lady Lisa behind the bar, the guy that showed me to the table.. Just awesome. Steak cooked to perfection and fat edible (check the pics)... The chips??? Oh my days it took me back to the 80's when my mum used to do homemade ones. Proper chuffed I've found this place, just gutted I live hours away or it'd be my new local. I added pictures of the Carvery and the choices on there were outstanding, great selection of food and meats.. You'd assume a carvery would make menu items second place, not here. Perfect xx
