“Mama Mia’s in Pontefract is hands down one of the best restaurants around. From the moment you arrive you are greeted with such warm and attentive service that makes you feel right at home. The food is always outstanding and super fresh, every dish tastes like it has been made with real care and quality ingredients. Even when visiting on a weekday the place is buzzing with atmosphere, which speaks volumes about just how loved it is in the community. It is no wonder that Mama Mia’s has been open for over 30 years, the consistency and dedication really shine through every single time. I really like that there is a lovely little area at the front where you can sit down, enjoy a drink or just relax while your table is being prepared, it makes the whole dining experience feel even more special. The décor inside is beautiful and instantly transports you to Italy, giving you that authentic feel that pairs perfectly with the food. I have been many times over the years and I can honestly say it never disappoints. The atmosphere, the staff, the food and the overall experience are always spot on. If you are looking for somewhere to enjoy a fantastic meal in Pontefract, Mama Mia’s should absolutely be at the top of your list.”

“What a fantastic restaurant! We were a table of 17 and despite the numbers all the food was brought out efficiently and correctly. The food was delicious, and the staff ere lovely. The menu is very clear to understand for people with dietary requirements and allergies too. Will 100% be coming back!”

“We ordered a variety of dishes and sundries for 6 people on Saturday. We collected and all were still hot when we got home, all very tasty, looked good in the trays. I understand there has been a change of ownership but the food was as good as before and the staff equally friendly”

“Went here to celebrate 25 yrs since our first date and we were looked after by all the staff who couldn't have done any more for us if they tried. When we arrived there was a card and bottle of prosecco on our table from the staff which was a lovely gesture. Food was spot on on arrival you got tea and biscuits then a 3 course meal to have as and when you wanted it then afternoon tea was served. All other staff that took us and looked after us in the parade and winners enclosures were so friendly and made you feel special. If you want to have a great day at the races with wonderful staff I highly recommend Pontefract Racecourse.”

Look no further Great place to eat in and order a take out from Garlic ribs are fab - different to the usual bbq and peeking range but does not disappoint TEMPURA PRAWNS AND PRAWN TOAST!! Amazeeballs!!! Love it and the sauce that comes with Fab chicken pad Thai!! Abs delish. Spicey, fabulously cooked noodles which are light and not stodgy in anyway. Authentic Thai cuisine. Expensive but again worth every penny! Great place to take your date / friends to. Restaurant is amazing, love the feel and the staff are amazing - friendly , helpful and will always advise you on the dishes if you are ever unsure. Thank you guys !!! Xx”

The team runs like clockwork — super friendly, efficient, and clearly well-led. You can really see the pride they take in their work. Best Domino’s experience by far!”

“Once upon a time you couldn't go wrong with Chinese food. Just about any take-away you went to was par for the course. I don't know what went wrong, but they all seemed to go down hill. I haven't had a cracking one for a good 10 years or more. Until today. 5 stars. I had special chop suey, salt and pepper chips, and prawn crackers. It was all still piping hot when I got it home. It doesn't say on google maps, but they do deliver.”

We forgot to specify that we were booking for a meal so there wasn't supposed to be food on that night but one of the staff swapped into her chef whites & cooked us up a delicious feast. It gets busy at dinner and tea time, but only because it’s the best chippy around here! Avoid peak times if you want to walk in and grab your food but everyone has to try this place!”

“It’s a cute little cafe, I came in for a quick drink and would come again. The menu is simple which is not necessarily a bad thing, plus there are cakes available which look lovely. They even gave me a party ring biscuit with my mocha which is just fab. Service was also decent too!”
